I have not posted anything about this in the past year to maximise my chance of being paid but I think all hope is lost.

What a scumbag.

This looks a bit like he has paid you back the amount he thinks he owes you and has probably convinced himself that this is the just amount (due to others having pieces of him) and feels satisfied that he has done what was needed--whether you agree or like it, or not. I might be wrong, but this is how people who these kinds of things often rationalize things. GL with getting it all paid off.

Op it sucks for you.

One thing that does not exist in this world is a "Wealthy Poker Player".

By any real metric the poker world is full of frauds and charlatans and it is debatable if you could get past one hand counting the number of "professionals" who actually have money. It was probably the most shocking realization when I first started learning more about the poker culture.

This does not mean everyone is a dbag scumbag thief like Marc Wright, but it does mean almost all people who play poker for a living are degens. Playing poker is a horrible way to make money. In fact it is pretty clear it is much easier to make better money just ripping poker players off.

The entire existence as poker as a means for talented people to work and learn hard is a complete charade. Almost all money made in poker is made off the players, in a ridiculously absurd number of ways. Almost no players make money and a portion of those who do degen it off in other ways. (I am talking about making real money not grinding for 50k a year).

Op it sucks this dummy is winning huge tournies and paying you such paltry sums. He is dumb enough to oversell himself (in probably every tournament) then he cashes and owes more money and tries to make it up overselling himself when he does not cash. This guy is not an exception (other than his extreme and his theft). Most poker players above a certain level can't even afford to bankroll themselves, then they all con each other and pay themselves on the back for reducing risk all the while making no money at all. It is the craziest community I have ever seen.

The reality is the poker community accepts people like Marc Wright and others. People may post outrage on forums but at the end of the day nobody really cares and more importantly nobody does anything.

I do hope you get all your money back but I suspect Marc Wright will cross the wrong people long before that happens. There is zero chance he stops scamming , cheating and lying. That is his DNA. He will be like that forever.

And just as a slap on the head to poker players, I would say the majority of these scam stories even a 83 year old blind lady would not have been taken in by. The stuff I read on here is fascinating but at the same time ridiculous.

"Marc i really don't care much about what's happened but you owe a friend of mine some money, she is not a poker player, she can not afford to go without this money for as long as the tournament regs, i hope you do the right thing and get her money back to her ASAP. It's not a lot but its a lot to her."

don't know anything about the situation in general so don't want to jump to conclusions but this part does present me with one question......... why in God's name would you lend a professional gambler money that is 'a lot' to you, that you need back ASAP and can't go without for long? I mean, have some common sense..If I've got rent to pay or food to buy soon I ain't lending the cash to some guy to play poker with, even if its Phil Ivey.

One wonders if the best way to complain would be to try and contact someone at the parent company, because I haven't seen CS that shocking in quite some time - and I had money on Eurolinx.
That's right, yeah. :/

I remember creating multiple threads/posts in their forum about the situation, but they got insta-deleted, with the rough explanation of, "He's a good player and we don't take interest in anything outside of his ability". Pretty sure their mentality was/is 'who cares what he's done off the table', (convincing themselves it's just hearsay). 'Because if this guy can bink something, we're gunna cash in on that sponsorship.' I know it's just conjecture to say something that, and I don't mind finding the Email explaining why stuff about him in the forum gets deleted, but... yeah, sad times. Just bewildering to me how this guy has so many mates and people that stick up for him. Mind-blowing.

Anywho, fingers are crossed for you OP. vGL.

Why is that though?

I'm ok with speculation, but just saying 'I feel' is as loose as speculation gets

I could 'have a feeling' its Kidpoker multi accounting, but people would want to know why I think that

Fairly similar style + brand new account (UK) idk, its ofc only speculation at this point, but nothing would suprise me anymore with this guy

Marc was playing 10/20e tournaments yersterday on Winamax so it can't be him ...

I'm confused why playing on one site makes it impossible he can't be playing across multiple sites?

Unlikely that he's playing 10 tourneys while being on the 10k main final table.

I think I have played some 500 Zoom with better c4ll and he has only played a handfull of tournaments on stars so really unlikely that it is dean23price.

The thread is currently blocked so wanted to post here so all is clear.
I went to EPT berlin last minute. Patrick (pleno) reccomended to me lewis hunter had a spare bed and me and lewis got tlking. He defo seemed genuine, nice guy. We met for the first time in germany.
We got on real good straight away, played an online session together and spoke about poker / life / women etc etc.
We briefly discussed a swap that night, but nothing concrete.
The next morrning (the morning before the torny) lewis suggested a 5% swap.
For people that know me well, know that i rarely swap (i often sell, but rarely swap). I neither accepted this swap nor declined it, and we never came to any particular agreement, it was all a bit cloudy tbh (poor communication on both our parts for sure). The fact was that i only had a small piece of myself and was some on MU etc so there is NO WAY i would of swapped 5% with ANYONE, especially someone whom i have never seen play poker and someone whom i know nothing about there game.
We went into the main event with nothing concrete agreed (obviously this was down to poor communication on both parts).
Lewis busted the torny early and i finished day 1 with a really big stack.
Nothing was said about the % untill the end of day 3, where i said he would have 5% of what i made from the torny. This was the only possible swap i would of done.
As i said NO SWAP was agreed, but lewis was genuine and he had in his mind that we had a swap of some kind. I want to make it clear that me and lewis did get on very well and i would of classed him as a mate after knowing him for a very little period of time.

Coming home from germany straight away after busting in 7th was due to f tilt obviously and didnt even think about giving him a "drink" from the score.
We spoke online after germany and i snap sent him some money that i owed towards the room / room sevrice etc (i sent this money on the day he asked for it np, and im sure he will say so). He asked for the % (5% in his mind). I wanted to ask the opinion of some others before agreeing an mount with him, and in the end i asked him if we should get someone to mediate. I spoke to pleno about it and he said in lewis's mind we did have a 5% swap, and i do believe that he thought this, but as i said, i would of NO WAY agreed to a full 5% swap.

Im sorry if people on here wana take sides etc, but this was between me and lewis and i feel he should of just waited untill i finished in vegas then we could of sorted it properly.
putting it on here cant help in anyway.

Will answer any questions that are constructive. Im going to contact lewis away from the public eye in an attempt to resolve this fast.

I have sold MANY packages in blonde over the past 2 years and won alot for blonde members. I have allways paid as fast as possible and im sure regular buyers would vouch for that. I paid out investers alot of money after EPT berlin and have had large online scores too. I am friends with alot of blonde memebers and i feel i have acted honestly and made sure everything has been perfect to the best of my ability.
I am really disapointed by this thread and i could do without it while playing the wsop

Marc Wright playing as railtard11 in the UKOPS on Sky Poker this week and posting on the forum.

yeh was probably chipleader with 15 left, but played a few hands badly and got 11th which wasnt that fun.
Yeh was a cool double, unfortunately i cant win the main 3 nights in a row because its a friends birthday :-(

And yeh ill happily post on here if you or anyone else had questions about hands or whatever. I dont play that much on sky, but play UKOPS and some of my best poker friends (matt bates and chickenmelt) play alot on sky. I also coach ryan
