I had this happen at a home game years ago in Texas.

We had been playing most of the night & a guy got felted. He placed a big bag of pot on the table & said- "Who will cover me?"

One guy at the table gave him some cash for the pot so the guy could keep playing. He of course busted out (again). The guy then stood up to leave and was asked for his rolling papers as he headed for the door. Sheepishly he threw them on the table and left. The guy that bought the pot then headed for the backyard to go "commune with the trees."



Moral to the story: Leave your pot at home, because it'll be there when you really want it.

This is not the first time this has happened. I recall a guy trying to bet a watch like it was a ****ing movie, so just for a second I took my watch off like I was gonna play and laughed. But then he asked how much he could get for his watch all serious-like.

an old card dealer at the El Rancho told me a great story once. seems a guy in his late fifties walked in one day, sat at the 1-3 seven stud table. had a beautiful girl with him. he was the life of the party all day. he bought drinks, tipped the dealers well and everybody loved him. the only thing was that he would get up and go to the bathroom a lot, which most people put on his age. well it got to be about two am and this guy is going strong. he stands up, and instead of going to the bathroom which was like a half minutes walk, he went to an empty table, took a bottle of cocaine out of his pocket dumped it on the table stakes sign at the table and snorted up. they dealer had to call security on him, as they were dragging this guy away, he was screaming "i tipped you ****ers!!! i tipped you ****ers!!!! the dealers name was Arris, i believe he was Greek, a great guy.....
