Hi,as it seems to be a huge problem which affects us all I would like to know if there is anybody who is willing to share their experience about running a bot on any pokersite.
Of course I don't mean technical details so anybody could copy it,but rather general information about the botting community, like which sites are affected the most and what percentage of bots compared to human players could look like. How strong are bots nowadays and what might be the best way to spot them(stats?).

So please if anybody with inside knowledge or somebody who is retired from botting could please share their experience it would be greatly appreciated as we would all benefit from this.

kind of unrelated but theres been advanced bots running on MMO games farming gold to sell for real life $$$ run by people with their own server / PC farm for 10+ years (which replaced factories in 3rd world countries that employed people to farm gold for them for slave wages) , super unsurprising if there was a large % of low stakes bots running on all major sites (and as we know , some bots found at med stakes + in the past most likely by higher end bots or people with higher risk tolerance)

Online poker is dying IMO. There is nothing that can be done to save it. The bots are just feasting on the desiccated corpse.

It seems like it's growing in the US... at a snails pace but things are changing to a regulated market. Hopefully they don't mess it up.

If you search the Internet Poker forum, there are hundreds of threads mentioning bots, but these two might be of most interest to OP:
Confessions of a Botter (ACR/WPN)
Safe Poker - bot detection company

If you can't write a decent bot you really shouldn't be playing online.

Everybody is taking poker training. The ones who don't get chewed up, spit out and don't last long. The only ones left are the reasonably good players.

Today I see an ad from 888 Poker: "Get $100 off training from Doug Polk". Wtf?! This was in my email inbox from 888 Poker! This is a travesty.

Poker will never be what it could have been. Too much time has transpired since Black Friday to resurrect the dying corpse. That's why all the pros are offering training; they're trying to extract every last dollar they can from the economy before poker is completely dead. They see the writing on the wall.

Writing a bot that beats 10 to 25nl is probably much harder than becoming a winning player at low midstakes. I’d guarantee it for American sites.

Training has been offered for a long time and online poker may very well continue to decline for several reasons (bots included) but live poker will never die therefore poker will never be "completely dead"
