That's one of the worst calls I've ever seen. Abysmal.

Someone explain it to me in plain English, so I can see that this call is anything other than utterly moronic.

the only thing i can think of is that he put him on pocket 4's or 2's. pretty ridiculous though

Actually, he would likely have put him on "whatever' early, if at all.

More likely, he had a momentary lapse of sanity and thought his pair was a better kicker than the other guy's single card.
