Yes, all threads that haven't been recently active (within this month) will be archived when the upgrade occurs. Many of the mods are subsequently bumping their best older threads.

Old threads will not be lost, however, just archived and harder to find.

Which just seems like an awful way to go about it (vs auto-keeping all threads with a min number of views, or some other objective and inclusive method).

The forums are going to be an absolute mess this month.

I'd recommend pm'ing some old timers on 2+2 to get some info about amazing old threads we could save before the upgrade.
