Just a couple of things to clear up

First the issue that i was getting 'flirtatious' (ahahahahahahahhahaha) with SGT, I mean the list goes on for the social awkardness here. Not only did I insult her immediately (backhanded sexism i believe was her words), if any of you are loser enough to consider a girl that looks like SGT as fair game then god damn...... I was merely trying to point out to her, as I pointed out to Daliman and subiime i think, that this **** dont apply to them for certain reasons, ahahahahahahah SGT is quite a bad specimen otherwise.

And the other more important thing here is that when samo issues me a 'challenge' (exact words of i invite you to boston....) and i accept his challenge Im crazy, i dont have reading comprehension, the mod threatens to delete my posts, but when the exact opposite happens with gabe and samo earlier everyone is licking samos nuts, regardless of what the challenge is for thats a brutal double standard. And I really really like how tough samo was in the beginning (come here and see if you should be frightened of someone that looks like me) and the moment i SNAP accept since im flying there tomorrow anyway (yes sign from god ) he starts talking bull**** about reading comprehension and how i dont understand, sounds very similiar to what you guys were attacking gabe for earlier..... So i just want to be clear here samo, you issued this challenge to me, i accepted, and now we arent doing it because of you, is that correct? If not as i said im arriving today and im there until the 22nd, lets make it happen, "I've been nothing but polite"

You may find this shocking or hard to believe, but this happens to be a forum based on poker, so you might have to forgive us for taking a poker challenge seriously, and somehow thinking you are just some buffoon when you actually believe you've found a fistfight on a poker site

Im just accepting invitations my man, where the invitation happens is not important, its between me and him and this is just a means of communication to get it sorted, no different from the poker challenge

It is funny, however, that you were calling him names for trying to setup logistics for the poker match. However, immediately after you thought you had an accepted fight, which was clearly sarcastic btw, you tried to setup logistics.

I agree with you 100% and have to wonder why, on a forum where logic is allegedly followed, more can't follow this simple example. The fact that the venue is a boxing ring or a gym fight instead of a poker match is irrelevant; the point is that Samo issued an open challenge to you, you accepted, and he pussied out and tried to make excuses (not in a million years expecting you to show up). It's the exact same thing Gabe did. Moreover, Samo specifically mentioned that he would not be following this thread and would require a pm to be contacted, yet he has been very active to defend himself since you issued your challenge. If it sounds familiar it's because it, again, is exactly what Gabe did.

These guys are cut from the same cloth and it's completely hypocritical of NVG not to acknowledge it.

Yeah when i said lets hammer out the 'logistics' of the match, it obviously was a reference to the 50 times he has used that exact phrase in this thread, sorry that part flew straight over your head, anything else you have trouble understanding? ahahahahaaha and his challenge was CLEARLY sarcastic? I wouldnt say so, if I hadnt accepted the story would have been look at samo he doesnt back down to anyone, but since ill be there as soon as today, all of a sudden its sarcastic, does this sound familiar AT ALL?? are you guys ****ing with me or what? either way I know your name samo so if you dont organise this at the very least if i can find an address and you're not in i can break a couple of windows London style

Yes, there are other things that I have trouble understanding.

Note the bolded. Any acceptance of a fight that you inferred seems pretty clearly sarcastic. He's parodying what you said about the poker match and how he should just show up without working out logistics and if Gabe doesn't play then whatever.

Interestingly enough you say if he doesn't "organize" this ...... So you again want him to setup logistics? Why don't you just show up you ****. (Again I am parodying you in case you miss it.)

Polov is indeed being ridiculously hypocritical and clearly pussying out by failing to do all of the organising on his own and then flying over on the offchance that samo turns up to meet him.

No need to respond to the 1 post new guy that mysteriously turned up to form the third member in the Coalition of ******s...or more accurately a second account for one of the existing Gabe 'All Talk' - Polov Entente Cordiale.

People threatening each other with physical violence over the internet is juvenile. IMO, Gabe, Polov and yes Samo as well are out of line here, but hey posing over the internet and happens all the time so whatever.

Samo, glad to hear you weren't serious about fighting but go read over what you wrote, you earlier made come comment to Gabe's challenge to fight like "we'll see who's teeth end up where", then you explicitly called out Polov, sounded pretty serious to me. Up until that point you had completely owned Gabe ITT but I gotta say, your challenge to fight Polov was much easier to take at face value that was Gabe's "challenge" to play any internet player.

Am I the only one who read Samo's challenge to Polov and took it seriously? I think that had Polov backed out everyone ITT would be all over him for backing out. Samo's challenge was just sarcastic humor? Really? Sounded pretty serious to me.

At any rate, Polov is an a..hole IMO and Gabe is delusional, nothing has changed in that regard for me. But I do think that some people ITT have lost their objevtivity to some degree which is somewhat understandable, but unfortunate. But there's no other explanation IMO for the fact that almost everyone ITT saw Gabe's "challenge" as literal, and almost everyone seems to accept Samo's contention that his challenge was "sarcasm. Anyhow, I refuse to follow the herd and I call b.ll****.

Thanks for the links Daliman. I doubt I can be bothered to watch the Claudia interview as the beginning is boring as hell but Gabe's interview was pretty interesting.

I gotta say, after watching the interview with Gabe, my gut feeling is that Gabe can play some serious poker. Obviously it's a gut feeling but still, he comes across as experienced, confident, mature, knowlegable etc. I know he's been delusional in ITT but still ... I'm holding out hope, maybe there's a 1% chance that Gabe will play someone a match, would be very interesting. I have a hunch that people in this forum (Samo included) who think that Gabe's 40K is "easy money" just might be in for a big surprise. I have maintained all along that a some of what Gabe says may have a lot more merit than people want to give him credit for, a lot of it just gets lost I guess in all the other BS.

FWIW if my memory on how it was said is correct, which may not be the case, I also don't think Gabe's initial "challenge" was actually literally a challenge. It was too indefinite and seemed like mere puffery to me. Sure, it seems like crazy, and if actually believed by the speaker then perhaps delusional, puffery, but still seemed like puffery. However, he certainly did later issue challenges and there certainly was an agreement between him and Samo to play a match.

Agree 100%. The initial comment was something like "I'd play an internet player anytime" or something like that and I think taking that as an open challenge was not fair. However, no doubt that he later agreed to play Samo, no doubt also that he kept ignoring the escrow issue, no doubt that Gabe is the one who backed out.

I obv have too much time on my hands ...

This is what Samo said earlier.

Figure of speech? Sarcasm? I'm sure had Gabe said this, and then later said it was only sarcasm and not to be taken seriously, than he would have been ridiculed.

Perhaps everyone can just take a deep breath and stop with the threats of physical violence.

It looks like no match will happen. If Gabe is still ready and willing to play a match, like I suggested earlier, all he has to do is find someone reputable to act as escrow, post that here and a challenger will appear.

I'm having a hard time understanding Gabe here. He sounds like he really considers himself to be a huge favorite in this match, but that being the case I have no idea what his motivation is for ignoring the escrow issue. Clearly Gabe is the one who backed out, yet he thinks he's a big favorite ...

Maybe his whole life is one big level and when he dies and his will is read we will find out.

So its all good im not being socially awkward since Im not being sarcastic but thats only worst case scenario if he completely pussies out on me, It is a bit of a hassle searching for him after all

Maybe he's scared of the ridicule he'll get if he loses to Samo. Or maybe he just doesn't want to play an anal-retentive nerd who appears to have an anger management issue. It looked to me that the match was good to go in Sept (still a few weeks away) until Samo blew a gasket because Gabe wasn't replying instantly to every little request.

As far as the "physical violence" goes, hey, Samo instigated it. But of course NVG wants to believe that was just "sarcasm" or not a real challenge no. I'm glad at least you saw through that BS.

Your interpretation sucks. Gabe ignored all questions re. escrow. Have you even read the thread? Gabe was repeatedly asked by Gabe and others about that issue, Gabe didn't even respond. Why anyone would expect Samo ar anyone else to waste their time flying somewhere to play someone who doesn't even respond to that question is beyond me.

How long does it take to type out a response, 30 seconds? He ignored the questions for over a week!

As far as the violence goes, I think you should retract your threat to seek out Samo where lives etc., that's just juvenile and possibly criminal. But yes, had roles been reversed then I'm sure this forum would have been all over you for being a pussy and backing out of a fight after you issued the challenge.

Then again, this crap about challenging people to fight is so childish, I think you should all grow up.

Oops, sorry I thought you we're Polov. Then again, maybe you are Polov. Whatever.

I find it amusing that in the rare case when someone sides with Gabe ITT they have like 5 total posts or something on average.

I'm neither Gabe nor the other guy (I figured you could tell by the grammar/spelling, since it doesn't appear to be their forte). I am a former lurker who reads this forum and got fed up with the gang mentality. I think Gabe has some weird paranoia about casinos and online poker, but also find it conceivable that he believes he has a huge edge live over online players. Those of us who've played both games realize that they are very different so this is not so ridiculous.

I think this match was going to happen and there was plenty of time to work out the details. From the thread, it sounded like they were going to look into using Dolan as an escrow right about when Samo blew up. Then we saw Samo's true character (which was relatively obvious earlier on with all of the veiled bragging and patronizing). I wouldn't want to play that weirdo either, even if I had an edge.

Then Samo does the EXACT SAME THING Gabe did and issued a challenge to the other guy, only to back out and claim it was a figure of speech or whatever. Yeah, telling someone that you want to fight them is juvenile but you can't rant about another players hypocrisy in making a claim and renegging on it and then turn around and do the same thing!

I agree with the first and third paragraph, but not the second. But arguing this further is not going to get us anywhere.

I do accept that you are a "real" person, your grammar/spelling is certainly much better than Gabe's. You gotta admit though, that it is interesting that on the rare occasion when someone supports Gabe they hardly have any posts.

luckthefakers, regarding my comment to Gabe about whose teeth will end up where, I am not sure how you read that as me having instigated it. That was the only comment I made in response to his threat of kicking my teeth into the back of my throat. somehow you see that as my INSTIGATING??

regarding Polov, I have no idea how you could read my "challenge" to him as literal. did you actually read the entirety of my post to him? how did you interpret the last two sentences (the ones that Lego bolded in his response to you)? I can't believe that there is more than one person in the world (Polov being the other) that is so dense as to not see the blatantly over-the-top sarcasm in my post.

Since you seem to be rather slow on the uptake, let me explain: I was parodying his own post about how it wouldn't matter if Gabe didn't show up if and when I just flew to Missouri without escrowing the money first. He said I would still have won on a grander scale - and said that "it is called traveling" and suggested that I was antisocial for not just hopping on a plane. ... By using those same terms in my response to him, I was obviously just ridiculing his absurdity - while clearly implying that I wasn't actually going to show up to fight him. ... Get it now mate?

Seems to me that you are - to use your term - "cut from the same cloth" as Gabe and Polov.

I'm off to New Jersey now and won't be back on 2p2 until Monday at the earliest. Unlike Gabe, I'm serious about that.

The initial challenge might not have been fair to take it as an open challenge. However, samo very respectfully and logically laid out the reasons why All Talk should play him. At that point, it would have been better for AT to just go away and say it was a figure of speech, however he had to go on about how he as an 80% favorite over any internet player and how he reiterated that if you come to Biloxi then we'll get a game on. So he was being serious.

Once Samo tried to nail down details of the match as far as location and escrow as to not waste his money (and hopefully figure out to fly to the correct state), AT started turning tail again. However at the same time he was backing down from Samo, AT was issuing a challenge to all other internet players! It's pretty unbelievable.

And yes, loveinvain I know you know this, I guess I'm just summarizing for others who might not read the entire thread.

I don't know what you actually have to do to get banned on 2+2 but if the language (circumventing the edit curse words tool) and physical threats aren't in those parameters they should be.

Polov, your initial threads were actually pretty amusing but you've gone way over the top threatening physical violence and relentlessly continuing with it.
I took it as a parody at first which would have been pretty funny (in the context of the thread) but you're way out of line now.

At least for me you've taken a really amusing thread and put a really sick spin to it that takes a lot of fun out of it; you're acting like a total cretin.
