I think the main issue is that I'm really sick of the environment of the poker world. There are some really good people, but a lot of the players carry themselves with a sense of entitlement. Almost as if the poker world is the only thing that exist. Then they start referring to people, who aren't as good at poker, by saying fish, idiot, moron etc. Or they'd treat people in service jobs like ****. it just makes it a very toxic environment and it does nothing to help the poker world grow. I understand for a lot of young guys that make a ton of money suddenly, it's hard and it's something you have to learn. It just seem like a lot of people get stuck in that behavior.
Lex, you are playing this game far longer than I do and I can understand what you are talking about. That is one of the reasons I never really got in touch with too many poker players because I simply don't share the habits a standard poker player does.
Your statement of how poker players treat service personal reminds me of a guy at the EPT Prague. He ordered a muffin and coffee and got very mad when the coffee arrived without the muffin, he basically said he doesn't want the muffin 2 or 3 minutes later and how the service is unable to serve it at the same time. That guy simply had no emptathy of how the service girl was alone down there in the cashgames lobby running her feet off. Last but ont least it probably wasn't even her fault.
Anyway, I think you need to deeply look into your heart and think about if there is more you want to accomplish in your life other than winning a tournament and making money to spew it off getting drunk with people you dislike. I know that myself because every day I grind too much I know I am wasting my life. The world has simply much more to offer than poker. To me that is being socially active and involved into whats going on around me.

Anyone who has spent years in several different career fields (with poker just being a hopefully profitable hobby) will tell you the same, that poker is no different than any other field in terms of human behavior.
This is simply not true. Yes, people like bankers, politicians will be just as much of a dick but there are so many other working feelds where people treat each other with a lot of respect, teachers for example. What you mean is that most jobs, where money and power is a huge factor, make human being greedy and disrespectful.
I am not sure if wealth cannot be archieved without money (English Language), because happiness surely can be.
