Like many dutchs,he is straight up person,maybe to straight.
Lex its a cool guy but in a way a child with the 'me against the
world ' actitude who doesnt seems to be open to adjust to personalities/opinions that may vary from his own.

Last summer in a dutch PN poadcast he talk about how during ept's he prefers to hang out with some dutch friends because he's kind of done with lot of ppl from the tourny comm and hanging or meeting with some of his "ïnternational friends" will implied also having some of this ppl he is done with around.
He mention 2 examples and went on a rant .
Bonomo; mostly because of how after a session of the big game,he comment something to lex about him tipping the dealer even him (lex) been down a decent amount.

Then Vanessa;she got rivered in the MA from ept close to FT and she left mad as passing her friends she comment "the history of fv**** summer" when she Luckbox 100K HR the previous ept and FT another one the same year. Well Lex was done with those kind of persons and doenst feel like going for drinks with some ppl if there are gonna be some of those ppl around.

Ok,he may be right(imo) about tipping some1 for doing his job in a propper
way and no if u end + your session,but just because some1 else had another
opinion and comment that personally to u doesnt mean he's a tool and u need to call him out on a podcast.
Then vanessa .... , well vanessa its gonna vanessa ( and dont we all love vanessa ?? )
Thats her character,she its a bad loser but 10 minutes after her bust she may be the most loving and caring person in the world.We just dont know.
He is very right, she should be soooo grateful for wat she has,but again,she maybe is,and thats just her standard blow up,and she even knows thats not ok and been working on that ,and jet again.. we all have different characters and that blow up only doesnt show me who the person really is.

Judging ppl (colleagues) and specially going on such of rant doesnt only look childish and a ton of immaturity and narrow minded charachter but shows specially a huge amount of unprofessionalism.




Also ... those ppl linking videos of PAD and commenting on wat antonio say to durrr,shows again the lack of social skills many ppl in the poker comm
and nvg have.

As for Antonio,i dont find thim an attention whore at all.
He is just been himself,should he act different because of the
camaras been around ? Than you may have a point but as rast point
this is by no mean the case.

Antonio seems to be a pretty nice guy and good friend to those he is close to (i'm assuming this ofc). He always came off a little douchey on tv, but that was only really when he was trying too hard to impress or just lacking awareness at critical moments..

He seems like the kind of guy to say awkward things at the wrong times but maybe its not for the wrong reasons. He could be trying to break the tension because he feels uncomfortable.. We don't really know all the reasons because most of us are not close friends with him. But it doesn't seem to come from a place of malice.. More likely innocent fun or boredom.. He does tend to drift between hyper awareness and complete lack of awareness at times.. So that is a little weird..

Either way, Lex comes off pretty horrible here.. Seems to have taken this way too seriously. Life is a blessing full of wonder and we are some of the luckiest people on Earth that we get to do what we love for a living and are in control of our own approach to life, not having to answer to bosses or work 9-5's etc..

On top of that, he's had some of the best of it by being a pokerstars sponsored pro for so many years.. The fact that he feels the need to btch about another high profile player doesn't portray him in the best of light.. He seems angry and would probably benefit from some meditation or a couple fat spliffs.. whatever it is, stop drinking..

Antonio asked him for a simple dinner in the evening, not to leave his family and friends and spend the rest of the trip with him.

Lex was just drinking and talking **** in this, like we probably all do with our good buds. I honestly like him more for it.

But come on, both were out of line. Antonio probably thought he was doing Lex a solid by inviting him to dinner with some cool kids/movie star when he was the new guy. He probably felt like Lex had snubbed him, which he kind of did, likely as a semi-bluff/defense mechanism for not wanting to seem starstruck or desperate.

Is it not kind of weird and bold for a man to ask another man out to dinner he just met at a poker table? If it were me I would probably be weary of intent to gay sex or hustle. In any case I really don't blame Antonio for saying what he allegedly said to Lex, as he was probably right, but some things are better left unsaid especially when trying to be kind.

Folks pretending to take the high ground on this with crap like "he should not have said these things on a podcast etc etc" need to get real as this type of petty drama is damn near the only pulse left in the forum.

The only other semi-compelling things to talk about is whether or not a former online star is broke, who died, Borovetz, pipe dreams of American online poker and of course Mr.Wong.

Ok, i'm with some friends and i mean close friends on a 2 weeks holliday.Ok this is hypothetically but since i have no poker friends lets say we are dancers.We are on a full week of dinning,clubbing and offc we also play some poker.
One night one of my friends(by far the best dancer from us) meets Tom Hellmuth (one of worlds best choreographers) at his poker table.After 2 nights chatting with, Tom is inpressed by my friends
game but specially by his charisma so he invites him to have dinner
with his gf and aother friend of him.

Well by this point all of us"his really good friends"will find him stupid and even mad at him by turning him aka 'chance of huge career oportunity'down because of dinning/partyng with us later on (when we have been drinking/clubbing all past nights and the nights to come) or even huge tool for asking him yo bro make it +4.

The most importat thing he knows how we think about it because
friends know each other and know what the right thing is.
As a friend we grant him that oportunity for him and place it above of
another night of clubbing with us.




Again its an hypothetically example and again we all know the standards
most poker players have to what they call a "friend" in the poker world.

Hate whoever did that interview. You don't understand some of his comments about drinking, and that's a good thing. But... that doesn't mean you get to laugh in his face when he gets candid about it...

As I watched vid, I couldnt help but think for some reason, this cat is just another non american who dislikes americans/America. It just doesnt make sense how someone would dwell on such a petty issue this many years removed. After seeing that he apparently bad mouthed Bonomo and Selbst as well over petty ****, I wouldnt doubt this to be the case imo.

LOL really? Clearly Jungleman is the one acting like a psycho deranged arrogant dickhead. Esfandiari's light hearted ribbing is perfectly justified. Anyone who gets so emotional over poker, (especially a pro!) deserves a bit of flack. It's even better that it goes straight over Jungleman's head.

Wasn't this the episode where they made bets on what 'another player thought Tom's sex count was'? They were discussing things to bet on, really dont think Tom was embarrassed and got pretty involved in the bet if I remember correctly.

The rest of the video was Antonio being a class act as usual.
