hsdb doesn't really do much correcting. or updating of player profiles. or proof reading of their articles. or know how to spell. etc. such a shame it's run so poorly! i've pointed this out to owner on several occasions over the years, but he doesn't care.

Sorry, but that's total BS. Actually there are quite many casinos very close to the German-Czech border (on the Czech side) and they all use the Euro as their currency because the vast majority of their customers are German or (to a small degree) from other Euro countries.
These casinos (Kings is by far the biggest, but there are many small ones, some with poker, many without) are located on the German border specifically to lure in Germans (in Germany, it's complicated but in short; casinos are heavily restricted and highly taxed).
I've never been in one of these but I'm pretty sure all the brothels near the border use the Euro too, and it has nothing to do with the well-being of the locals

I've never been to a place in Poland or the Czech Republic close to the German boarder that didn't accept Euros. Every restaurant, gas station or shop either has their prices both in local currency and Euro or use a calculator to quote you a Euro rate.

They will take dollars also but the exchange rate will be skewed against you. I went to one that took cases of cigarettes even. I was stationed near Cheb in the mid 90's and we would go to Czech often and I go back there still. It's pretty lawless, like old school Tijuana.

I went to a club there one time and this prostitute got into an altercation with some guy and he smashed a glass close to her face and tiny shards of glass got into her eye and my friend irrigated her eye and fixed her up (we were medics fwiw). He got a key to the club from the chef and free ass. It lasted a couple weeks but he was showing up too often so they said they changed ownership and revoked his key.

My same friend was at another club and somehow got tied up to this wheel and the girls were spinning him around and whipping him. He shows me his back and there were these lash marks and they got him pretty good. Everyone just stayed away from there after that happened.

My first few trips I visited with a black friend and we would go to the "clubs" and I'd be sitting there and all of a sudden all the girls would disappear and my friend D would be gone too and awhile later they all came back to the room and he said they all wanted to see "If it's true"... We'd bring some of these women back with us to the barracks and they would just stare at the little black kids. It was sort of unnerving cause they never saw a black kid before or something and they literally would sit there and stare at them. Not a prejudicial thing but it was uncomfortable.

I have a million brothel stories. I could easily see some Czech operator scamming some guy for 50 cents let alone millions of dollars!
