Id be more interested if they were doing some kind of "chess boxing" type of game.

5 min of heads up poker (multiple tables to make it harder/get more hands in)

1 rd of boxing/mma

5min of heads up poker

1rd of boxing

5min of poker

They can negotiate how many boxing/mma rounds but it starts and ends with poker (barring a finish in the ring). Its interesting to see how their decision making suffers when stressed to the max like this.

Maybe a set number of hands between rounds, rather than 5 mins.

Multiple tables could be tricky to set up if it's live.

I like the idea though!

I always thought Jungleman was just super high when he was at the tables. He has that "lsd/edibles" vibe where people are struggling super hard to try to act normal when really they're a bit overwhelmed by the stimulus around them. It would explain why he's so funny. Idk. Substances affect different people differently though, they can also make you smell your own farts and get a bit MUBSY/paranoid if you think all the free-form ideas that come are of value; Joey kinda gets into this vibe at times. I don't really want to see people fight anymore, but I'd watch them compete at random sports that we ca verify neither play. Basketball game? Golf match? Drunk table tennis? 1 on 1 full field soccer/hockey? I'm in. Awkward fight? With boxing rules I'd guess this devolves into hugging really quickly. With MMA rules I feel like one person is always a super lock and the other person just doesn't realize it.

Why not just have a Power Slap fight? I hear it's quite popular these days.

Wow! When I started this thread I was only thinking about the fight part of it. But as I re-watched it earlier today it's actually quiet an okay interview as far as poker thinking goes. I think I'm gonna watch it again in the next few days. Good stuff, the poker stuff.

As far as the fighting goes, I'm convinced it should be Tae Kwon Do rules as I pointed out earlier. Both are white belts and they can agree to fight each other once and only once they both reach the rank of green belt. It'd take 8 or so months, and each fighter's updates on his progress along the way can be entertaining reading or watching. They should video the lead up to the green belt Tae Kwon Do fight, starting at white belt. Pokergo could possibly cover it.

Dan Smith's charities can be beneficiaries.

I don't know how many of you here has seen the interview that I have linked in the OP. But Trueteller talks about how it was Phil Galfond's videos that boosted his knowledge about the game early in his career when he was still playing 10-20 online. And he gives those credit for his rise towards super high stakes.

I assume the Galfond videos he is referring to must be way pre-RunItOnce. Maybe Bluefire Poker. Does anybody know which videos Trueteller is referring to?

i kinda preferred him 10 yrs ago when he was just a nerd. Now that hes trying to be cool but still an obvious weird nerd its even more awkward to watch him. id actually put same money they offer to fight both of them same time, and winner takes all...fact!
I had to reactivate my account (I haven't used it in years) just to say that millions of trained fighters could "fight both of them same time". Furthermore, many could probably do so with an arm tied behind their back (keep in mind that neither of JM or TT are trained fighters). That being said, I beleive that one would need to be "amongst one of the weirdest, tryhards, weird, nerdy, awkward person" to think that anyone could care about a fight between two of the greatest poker legends against an unknowned 2+2 keyboard warrior deprived of any sense of self-awareness.

Spoiler:

Updates?

I was really looking forward to this fight. Have they started training yet?

Tae Kwon Do rules would be ideal. If this is too soft, maybe Shidokan rules.
