WTF you mean who cares? All us degenerate railers care. Its like following a sport, you will analyse the game after you watch it and discuss/debate it among friends. I don't have to be on Kobe's level to ask why he took a 32 footer with 17s left on the shot clock.

no strat in bbv?

but seriously, its fine to analyse a hand or whatever but you don't do that. all you guys do is say 'OMG durrrr just needs to shove every hand and he'll win! mbn' or 'can some expert (sarcastic tone, obv) tell me (insert apparently bad play) is standard' or 'lol hater' or 'lol fanboy' bla bla BLA. it seems as if everytime one of the regulars of this thread gets anywhere close to analysing something they just ruin it by insulting one of the players and losing all credibility. also, in sport its more obvious what the 'right' play is and much more of the skill is in physical abilities. obv generalisation but im pretty sure it holds. its alot different than this, where its basically like a bunch of people watching a match of scissor paper rock and just shouting at each other about how much their favoured player owns. note im not using paper scissor rock to downgrade the skill in poker, but more the inability (of you and me both) to understand why they're playing the way they do.

besides, maybe you should try to analyse your own game and your own opponents instead of taking part in what can only be guessing games. this obviously changes if dogishead offers input which i've seen happen a few times, but its rare.

edit:also just wanted to say that i am in favour of this thread (or otherwise wouldn't read it), appreciate people who post the hands) and agree its like watching a sport. i just don't watch sport and downgrade their play like i could do better. whatever prob out of line for me to talk smack when you are like one of the biggest regs of the thread.

If ur interested... watch the count the zeros series on cardrunners. Brian Townsend hosted some and did a good job analysing the plays of durrrr and alikes.

Very interesting
07-22-2009 , 02:26 PM
I wonder if Durrr is analyzing hands based on inputs we aren't considering... like other players folds and how that affects his opponent range as well as their perception of his range.. if he was just a maniac on an upswing then people other then Ivey and PA would play him HU..... i.e. if Durr knows OMG and PA always play their low wrap cards... and they fold.. then his 4567 is more live vs. Gus's AAq9 or whatever then it looks to us railtards- the point is Durrr obv. is making the right plays we have to figure out how they are right

I think this is a simple case of getting pot stuck (commited) on the flop. The raise by PA is small and looks like its representing 2 pr.
Durr makes a raise preflop and when the flop comes he continues to represent a huge hand by 3 betting 2 overs and a gutshot.
Its basically telling PA Im willing to play for stacks with my wrap, fd, set, overpair.
PA flat out smells it out and by the turn the both have close to half their stacks involved.
Dwans not gonna slow down at that point.
IMO

this post is pretty much spot on if you take out the first 3 words of it, and change the 'obv' to 'most likely' to account for occasional tilt or playing drunk.

in my opinion of course
