California yes, most places in the US this is not the case. In Cali it's not just race the Latin population is divided into two very distinct groups. I believe north of Fresno and south of Fresno are the two groups. They are rivals and adversaries just like Whites vs blacks, blacks vs Spanish etc etc

So does the Aria just dump him money to play in big games? He's actually a pretty horrible player even for live pro standards. I will never understand him, I'm not hating but I guess he's just the luckiest unlucky person on earth.

According to pokerpages, he has only WON about $500k in the last 8 years.

Considering buy ins for a year are about $200k/year that puts him as a massive looser.

Again please advise how this guy is a winning poker player....

What's the true story of JRB's financial situation the last decade or so? I'm sure the real truth would make for a good book. Give him credit for staying in the game, doing Survivor, and much more. One of the few guys that the average guy can't figure out. Matusow....easy to figure out. Doyle...easy. Hellmuth...easy. JRB seems to have some things going on. A bit of a mystery compared to the others.

JRB might be in the same category as Rick Salomon. Both are good players, but clearly not at the same level as Colman or McKeehen as far as pure poker skill is concerned.
However, they got the notoriety and the rep to essentially pick the lineups in the nosebleed games they play and get into very exclusive private games. I would not be surprised if Salomon was a top 10 cashgame winner in history, while being fundamentally worse than some east coast 5/10, 10/25 NL pros. Being able to play with really bad players at very high stakes might be more important than being GTO optimal as far as $$$ winnings are concerned!
