However, it could be he never planned it but it happened in an argument or something like that.

What a pathetic sicko. Justice systems are a joke, letting freaks like this roam the world.

No pics of him at any tournament poker table. I mean celebrities always end up getting their pic taken when playing. I'm not trying to raise this guy into a celebrity status, but a fact is a fact. He is a noteworthy person and you would think that there would be a pic of him a the tables.

What most posters here are wondering if they will just blind him off, or will he get a refund?

I played with him!

He came to Macau in 2009 for APPT. He was at my table for about 5 minutes in one of the satellites. When I recognized him I asked if he was that guy from Aruba and he smiled and said yes. I asked him why he even kept talking to the media and he said "cuz they gave me money."

I think I made some small talk with him later on but can't remember what was said other than he was going to buy into the main event (USD $5000), and I think he said he was living in Thailand or Philippines.

I have no clue whether or not he's a good player, but based on the fact that he busted from the main event in like 1 hour and the number of times I saw him walk to the cage while playing cash games, I'd say he's probably not very good.

Anyone know if Peruvian prison games are juicy?

Wow finally proof that poker creates degeneracy. Obviously he got paid for the 1st show and busted his bankroll, so he had to kill again to replenish his bankroll with more exposure. You don't see Wanatabe killing people do you? Play blackjack and roulette guys Poker could lead you into the life of a serial killer heres proof!

not a good idea to make a gimmick account for someone wanted by interpol though.

Being able to elude interpol=the nuts. I bet the morons in aruba who let him go the 1st time feel pretty bad now.

FWIW, the reports of his suicide are purely rumor and have not been verified by any credible news source as yet. When they are, then he's dead.

There are a lot worse things than getting shot, which is what this guy deserved. I used to have a true crime/psychopath interest and read a lot about them. There was a picture of him smiling ferociously that somehow reminded me of Ted Bundy. It was maniacal, at the same time exaggerated, and seemed palpably to be covering horrendous pain. What's left at that point is an enormous glibness/superficiality, with NO respect for truth. That's a hallmark of the psychopath - not murder, not rape, not even violence at all - but an orientation towards life not only of lying, but lying on such a scale that there is no such thing as truth (this stemming from their complete alienation from their own truth).

I got off the genre after reading Bad Boy From Rosebud (also talked to the author). And what came out of it was that the physical violence part of the phenomenon, seemingly every time, is simply bullying taken to the millionth degree. Almost always with a helpless victim. Instead of seeming exotic at that point, it seemed too common to continue to read about. I used to be interested in these guys. I'm not any more.
