"Senator John McCain was on a roll. In a room reserved for high-stakes gamblers at the Foxwoods Resort Casino in Connecticut, he tossed $100 chips around a hot craps table. When the marathon session ended around 2:30 a.m., the Arizona senator and his entourage emerged with thousands of dollars in winnings."

"A lifelong gambler, Mr. McCain takes risks, both on and off the craps table. He was throwing dice that night not long after his failed 2000 presidential bid, in which he was skewered by the Republican Party’s evangelical base, opponents of gambling."

Man, I'd love to see McCain at a poker table. From his history of blow-ups, it doesn't seem that it would take too much to put him on tilt. Seems like he could go Dr. Evil over a one-outer.

Makes McCain's support of the UIGEA make all the sense in the world; he's just carrying the water for the casino lobbyists who own a piece of him.

At least Obama could sit in a poker game.

Hopefully Palin can pray away the evil scourge of gambling.

Serious Question: Does being in the pocket of indian casinos make him more or less likely to support internet poker?
