Ya, I'm not going to say if any specific person is a winner or loser because I don't have all the information to calculate it, but a lot of those guys and gals were constantly entering tournaments each of which was $10k and that doesn't factor in hotels, food, and airline tickets. I don't think there were many winners on those poker tournament tours among the ones who went to the majority of them.

You need a million dollar bankroll just to play $10k MTT's and even if you have it, the variance in MTT tournament poker, let alone high stakes MTT tournament poker, is insane.

Anyway, those sites always seem to show "winnings" without taking into account all the buy-ins. That's a huge overlay and deceptive.

Anyone heard from him lately? He was such a part of the poker scene....

Fun "fact": I was listening to braggadocios Barry Greenstein ramble on the Poker Stories podcast and IIRC, he claims he lost a million on the Pokerroad podcast.

If true, then for someone who thinks of himself as so damn brilliant, he's sure done some dumb **** with his money. I cant understand how he pissed away a million on a podcast

I do miss that podcast though and thought it was a fun listen. The Haralabos Voulgaris interview where he talks about Freddy Deeb wanting to fight him had me doubled over in laughter, especially Haralabos' line about having a rule to never fight anyone under 5 foot tall and over 50 that seemingly rolled off his lips instantly in response to something Freddy said, which sent Deeb into a rage

Wonder what happened to Freddy Deeb lately. Does he even play tournaments anymore or cash?

I saw a brief interview with him from maybe a year ago. Apparently he tried running a restaurant in LA and didn't succeed.

I saw him several times during the WSOP this year playing or waiting to play mid to high stakes PLO.

According to Hendon, her last cash was in 2017 in a small stakes tournament. She had been playing super small stakes apparently since the poker boom endorsement money of Greenstein stopped flowing.
