I think this argument is moot though as in reality there will be d-bags/nice guys in every country.
I 100% agree. Generalisations are obviously not inclusive of everyone in a country; but they are commonly held for a reason. FWIW I do find most Canadians (my fellow citizens) to be more friendly than most people from other countries, and most Swedes that I've met have also been very easy to get along with and well tempered.

The was legislation put together by an independent mainly towards sports betting, but it didnt get through

The Senate said it was too hard to police and that we dont have the juristriction to go after overseas based companies.

In other words our goverment said "It their money let them do what they want with it"

Imagine if the US Goverment had this view mmm

No, they're not. You're a massive bigot. I sincerely hope others don't think all brits are as bad as you.

In regards to the thread, I've very happy to see this smug, whiney idiot lose his 'free money' contract, because he sure as hell doesn't deserve it.

Ummm actually provision of online gambling was banned along time ago, just never policed. The senate equiry suggests furether research. nothing is getting more banned and nothing is getting more legalised until after they talk for a lot longer about issues they dont and will not ever understand I think.

bye Joe, can understand moving on, it has to be pretty tough travelling the world playing poker. especially when you have kids.

still i would probably do it if stars need an Aussie rep, except i cant play poker very well....... still I am Aussie.....

Pretty sure he will be signing with 888.

He is making at an appearance at the Crown Casino on the 23rd of February for 888PL and APLs Main Event, hosting a deep stack event.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion. Some of the negative comments are a bit dissappointing though. I know Joe personally. He is first cousin of some very good friends of mine so our paths meet on many occasions.

He has always been polite, courteous and generous. He is not bloated in any way, which would be very hard not to be.

I actually sat next to Joe in a recent tourney in Melbourne. Our table was right next to the rail and Joe's seat was basically rubbing elbows with the rail. There was this one very enthusiastic fan that would just not leave Joe alone the whole day. I felt for Joe, but he handled the situation like a true gentleman. Any one lesser would have just told the guy to P*** O**, but not Joe, he chatted with him and acknowledged the fans questions and comments every time. This is in the middle of a major tourney at crown. The fan was tickled pink. He said that Joe had made his year complete, it was the highlight of his life.

Just remember folks, what you see on TV is not always the true picture.

Actually it would seem to me that this phenomenon is unique to the US, Australia, and China. (perhaps also North Korea)
