i don't think this is even worth posting. when we used to swap actions for online series with somebody within the tournament or 2+2 community, somebody else within the community had to vouch for the persons credibility. Adam should've done his research before giving money to this person.

Yes, plus it's not even a scam. If you give a gambler money and they don't pay you back, you didn't get scammed. You just got what should be the expected outcome when you give a random gambler money.

Damn, I struck too soon in the Kitty Kuo thread... might have been fun to use this:

Castellanosによる左奥のフィールドへのドライブがあり、それはホームランになります。 そして、それはそれを4-0のボールゲームにします。

What a swing of takes, goes from nicest person he ever met, to scummiest person in poker, now that GGpoker Japan covers the scammer hes a good guy and we should have compassion for his mental health. So much for preventing him from scamming in the future....sheeesh

Just waiting for someone to come out from the under the floorboards saying “what would you do tough guy?”. That’s what happened when I suggested old school Vegas rolling in their graves

Not a well thought out scam here, but he probably just took the money and put it on roulette

think these type of scammers rarely have malicious intent to begin with. not to "excuse" their behaviour but usually goes something like
gambles -> loses -> wants to chase back -> gets into a big hole fast/tries to borrow more money to chase losses (usually intention to pay back people if win)

can blow up pretty fast. which is why it's important to "out" asap to avoid the person owing literally 50+ people (see previous cases)

Find the thread title really funny and not sure why. Would never say “America’s Mike Matusow not paying back debts”. That would just be more weird than this sounds, but this also sounds weird. Someone explain this to me

Seems to me like he has gambling problems, but no malicious intent. The twitter post was a bit harsh in my opinion and he ended up being portrayed as a mega scammer who doesn't care about his actions. Also "you have 24 hours" is very childish. I agree about sharing the information, but a simple "this guy has gambling problems. Don't buy his action" seems more than sufficient.

we've gone from scammers

getting killed/beat up

to

nothing happening

to

outrage if you out them for scamming

and now

"the poor scammer I hope you get well soon".

I can't even imagine what it will be like in a few years when people get scammed.

If you sell % and gamble that money instead, you're a POS for life. No mental health excuses. Comical. And the fact he did this years ago and apologized and does it again makes him a troll.

I think most people would know who Mike Matusow is, but I've never heard of this guy so the reference is helpful. If this triggers you, you may have SS(snowflake syndrome)
