Wow. I was under the illusion that he had millions. I didn't realise a 700K hit would be so crippling. Also, I wish someone would give patpatman some action at 200/400 NL.

He said in his vlog that he probably would start at lower stakes. And try rebuild. Hes got the money for it no doubt, but theyre not all earmarked for poker.

He's on waiting lists for $50/$100 tables so meh (obv not isi swings though, deepest stack is 60bb's).

Yah if you check the lobby there's really nothing except 10/20 running atm. He's selling his apartment which is prob worth at least 2 milly plus he's obviously still got a decent chunk of money to play with so it's probably safe to say he's still worth millions.

He said people are over-estimating how much he has in one of his blogs I recall. Don't forget he bought 2 flats in NYC, then spent a load of money knocking them together + doing them up. He paid tax on his winnings (one would assume) , living expenses/travelling + live games. So just because he's allegedly up ~$7m on FTP and ~$2m on Stars (even though the tracking's not accurate) it doesn't mean to say he's sitting there with $9m in his bank account

Sounds about right, but you´re missing the most important point: There´s a zero percent chance he had 100 % of himself for most of the hands he played at 500/1000 (where he won boat loads). He clearly has enough money to play 50/100 comfortably, but losing 700k in 2 days HAS to be a massive hit to him.

Galfond is a millionaire. The 700K loss didn't even dent his actual bankroll, maybe his online roll. He probably doesn't want to redeposit at least for now if anything. He's one of the highest earning online players of all time, he's doing fine.
