though r4lti did say (in passing) at a later point in the conversation that one of the reasons skill gaps have been shrinking between top PLO players in the last 2 or so years is that "the solver has been released publicly now"/"they have released the solver to the public now" (cant remember the exact wording). He did say "the solver" though which I thought could be interpreted as certain players having previous exclusive access to the same solver that is now used by more people, and the 2~ year timeframe is pretty consistent with the release of monkersolver iirc
this is mere speculation on my part though and there is a good chance he was talking about two entirely different pieces of software
Thanks for the input.
I think back then there were rumors on Joeys Podcast about Berri having some sort of software, Ike as well. So I guess in a business, where you can make x mil/year it makes a lot of sense to find people, who can help your game by designing solvers or any other software.
I really wonder though, how many regs use it in real time. I was told by a very solid source that in NL, almost anyone in the highstakes world is using them while playing. While that would make sense I also heard that if you start crushing the games Stars instantly emails and gives you 48 hours to record a session. If they notice any kind of difference between your play (lower cbet or c/r frequency), you will be banned.
Then we have people like cumicon, who pretty much said he didn't even work on his game and crushed anyone.
