Not because I want to play but I'm curious, what is the buy-in to the 200/400 mixed game at Ivey's Room at the Aria? What "mixed" games are played?

I would guess that most of them would buy in for around 40 or 50 thousand. Around 100 bets. Never been there just my guess.

the games change depending on who's playing. i doubt they have a hard min buy-in rule. people in these games don't buy in short. they certainly don't have a max. i would think anything above 10k would be acceptable.

I know a guy who plays in the game on a regular basis. He buys in for $30K

from what i understand the traffic there is not exactly high and the regulars usually set the mix around what the new player wants to play. They play the well known H.O.R.S.E. lineup as well as 2-7 td and badugi but also a lot of other games that are rarely spread at stakes below 150-300 like stud hi/lo with no qualifier (Q), Badacey, Baduecy, A-5 td

They say the minimum "to get in the room" is 10k, but the regulars bring a lot more than that.

As previously mentioned, the traffic isn't high, and I'm sure you could get in with whatever as long as you had a handful of blinds.

A lot of the games are split-pot (stud/8, badeucey, badacey, etc) but yes, it changes depending on the players.

Average is about 30k/40k+... I don't think I've heard of many 10k buy-ins! If you're serious about making a legit profit I really recommend AT LEAST 25k. Hope this helps!

I read on Jennifer Harman's Twitter that she had been playing pot-limit 2-7 at the Bellagio, and she said that she had been playing over there a lot lately. I wonder if the game has moved back there? I mean, I guess there are two different games: the 200/400 and the Big Game (which plays much higher, like x10). But for a while the Big Game had moved over to the Aria (well, for a minute it moved to the Venetian, then back to the B., then to the Aria, and I'm thinking back to the B. now?). Can anyone confirm if the Big Game still plays at the B.? I'm guessing so if Harman is playing at the B. "a lot." I got the sense that she wasn't really willing to spend time away from home and away from her kids unless it was for really high-stakes, loose action. Regardless, that "smaller" 200/400 game used to be at the B... Definitely you want $30k on the hip for that game, I would think (GOD KNOWS I've never played it and can't afford to anytime soon!) The typical buy-in for the 200/400 at the Borgata, in A.C., seems to be about $50k, from what I can tell from 2 tables over at the 40 game. I always look over at their game lustfully wishing I had the roll...

Isn't it more likely than him having a 300k Stack?

Wow. Didn't even know they made 100k chips. Seems overkill unless they use it for casino-casino transactions or something.

NVG sees a lot of posts, and the more new threads we have, the harder it is for people to see all of the various topics that can happen in a day in this high traffic forum. To help curtail this, new threads that don't have a ton of news attached to them, or are not great long term discussion topics are often deleted or quickly locked.
