Read the "Folding to Ivey" hand here http://www.pokernews.com/live-report...au/main-event/

Snap call w/ A high here against Ivey, anyone?

Well a possible FT deal is in the works, so I think it's fine if Phil plays a tourny.

It depends. If Ivey has 100% inside info and is ~100% sure we are getting paid I don't see the problem. Any other percentages and I think he should respect the pain he caused to millions of people and gtfo the pokerworld .

Ivey is broke, he has to grind tourneys trying to rebuild. He borrowed and owes FTP $30M+ doesn't he?

Maybe it's because the tourney is not in the U.S. I believe Ivey was more concerned about american players not being to play at the wsop due to FTP not refunding money.

Ivey Pokerstars bound?
11-23-2011 , 02:30 PM
I'm confused.

Presumably he skipped WSOP because we weren't getting paid?

Nothing against Ivey, but we still haven't been paid.

Seems more like he waited to avoid putting his safety and general comfort at risk.

From my perspective it seemed like he didn't play because he had something to hide and if he had nothing to hide nor was he ashamed of anything then there was no reason for him not to play.
For a few reasons:

Controlling and limiting the press he received
Creating an image of being on the players side
Still leaving an out to get back in with Full Tilt when it makes its come back

Happy to see him back playing. Now if I can only get my $$$ from Full Tilt.

Not to derail here but there has been talk of WSOP adjusting blinds at final tables.

APPT has this as a tournament rule for APPT ME. Is this something new?:

"There is a 40 big blind ratio to average stack for final table if required"

1. A high is good there very rarely.
2. If he felt it was good any reasonable percent of the time, betting the river is unbelievably donkish.
3. No strat in NVG.

pokernews finally got rid of that entertainment clip that automatically played every time you visited a different page or refreshed

wtf were they thinking that thing was annoying as ****
11-23-2011 , 03:02 PM
Ivey FT'ing or winning this will be the only way he does an interview, hope he goes deep
11-23-2011 , 03:09 PM
i was playing in the local casino and over heard a few 18 year olds say they did not know who Phil Ivey was.

Just thought that was very funny. Ivey was almost in the where is he now category.
11-23-2011 , 03:10 PM
what's the ratio of chinese/non-chinese there?

Its bull**** that we are letting him just come back out like nothing happened. He needs to have a press release about whether or not he has paid fulltilt back in full, because as long as he doesnt, he should be harrassed as bad as Russ Hamilton. He has stolen from the community and whether or not WE get paid back, HE should be treated as such.

I say "Good Luck, Phil". As far as we know, he may HAVE to work at the only job he's skilled at. Anyone who has been "laid-off" (probably with no unemployment checks coming in) for 7 mo. does have to have an income. I'm sure he has staggering bills & a lot of expenses we don't know about. Time will tell..........
