I can promise you, Ivey does not make 10 million a month, Chris F and Howard do not make that much and they have a lot more of Full Tilt than Ivey does. No high stakes are going on in Bob's room, the highest game going on is a mixed 400-800 according to Doyle, and I am gona take his word, and Ivey made less that 10 million last year in online I believe.

oh and Pa Prop bets and golf are not - EV and are not like pit games.

Hey, woteva, sounds like you have better info than me, but from what I have gathered, I wouldn't be surprised if the three people you referenced made 10M+ per month in disbursements (and I was only basing my assumption about his income around his endorsement deal with FTP, nothing to do with Bobby's Room or any other action).

I'm sure Ivey didn't even care about the loss. You're talking about a guy that didn't know he had $750,000 in a safe deposit box at one of the Vegas casinos. I get happy when I find a $20 in my pocket that I didn't know was there. Insane that someone could have that same moment but with $750,000.

Given how much Ivey plays, 22 minutes is a ridiculously small sample size.

Maybe before the divorce. Now Ivey has to divide instead of multiplying.....

Pretty sure him losing 500k at craps not that big of a deal. Would be like me losing $500. yeah it's annoying whatever no one likes to lose but it's not like i'll be homeless because of it.

Jeez you are a nit - some of us like to shoot dice, and the odds against you arent that bad if you play with max odds at decent casinos.

I played at Beau Rivage seven or eight times last week with 10x odds - on a pass line bet of 10 with 100 behind with a point of 4, I was risking 110 to win 218 on a 2-1 wager. You consider that a house edge which is sure to "break" me? $2/$220? Give me a break.

If you enjoy the game and the action, and can afford to play - that is not a house edge which makes the game unplayable.

I'm not sure if this is the story he was talking about but iirc Brandon Adams was talking about a big cash game somewhere in LA (I think) the night of or somewhere around when a tournament was being run.

Something like BA told Ivey about it and Ivey said he didn't have any money with him. Ba (again I think this is what happened) said he was surprised Ivey was just saying he didn't have any money because Ivey should be able to ask about anyone and they would front him. Sooooooooooo, Ivey came back to BA later saying he would play because he found 750k (in chips) in his pocket that he forgot he had.

but honestly, craps is a beatable game. one of a few when played with perfect strategy. the others being blackjack and baccarat. the house edge in those three games is low enough to where you can make a profit, although in the long run most people won't. this is because they are making mistakes that, when the house edge is ~2%, will effect their long term results (like taking insurance at a blackjack table)

No games offered by the casino are beatable. The house edge on craps may be a lot lower than on roulette but that doesn't mean the game is beatable.
