I'm not judging him, because he can do whatever he wants with his hard earned money. But why would someone with so much skill play a luck based game?
Also. It makes him playing poker for 100k almost silly. What difference does it make if he gets felted for 100k if he has no problem dropping half a million on craps?
I was walking around Borgata on Saturday night. I was thinking to myself, "man, how cool would it be if I saw Ivey walking around this place." Sucks that was an actual possibility and it didn't happen. Sure enough my standard bad luck kicks in and I run into Robert Varkonyi instead. No Ivey, nice guy, though.
LOL yes my first encounter with miserable losers. if my post is so worthless i wish you would have saved yourself the time from reading and replying. only proof i have is i was there playing deep stack tourney and floor person who clocked me in at blackjack was talking about it. not far fetched but i was surprised that he even frequents atlantic city at all anymore.
Floor person should not be airing out the high-limit wins/losses with randoms.

Phil Ivey: "The thing that makes me really good at poker is that I have just complete disregard for money. When I sit at a table and if I need to bet $300k-$400k in a hand and I'm bluffing, I just don't care"
Ivey's going to go broke if he keeps throwing 7 figures at craps all the time. It's only a matter of time. Unless he stops altogether.
At the end of the video, he says that what he does isn't gambling, it's poker, its like a job. That's definitely true. But I was thinking about the craps, which most certainly is gambling--the worst kind where you are guaranteed -EV at all times--and what denial he is in.
He doesnt say craps is a job, maybe he knows its luck and doesnt give a ****? Thats not denial, he just says **** it, im rich and lucky and im gonna shoot dice
Ivey was at the Borgata Saturday night(not sure why) and lost $500k in 22 minutes playing craps which is just insane, but not much of a surprise considering it's Ivey. Still it seemed interesting enough to make first post about.
