Wow this blog is unbelievable. The way he writes you can really get into his head and feel like you lived through what he did.

Its hard to think a kid in high school who lives with his parents was playing the best in the world for millions of dollars. At one point in his blog he says that he sat out from multitabling 300/600 PLO to take a piss and came back to find his little sister looking at Justin Beiber videos with his FTP tables minimized. He reluctantly made a deal with her to wait until Justin was finished singing to kick her out of his room and return to bluffing $60,000 stacks.

It seems he really has a knack for writing after reading his blog. He uses vivid imagery and great comparisons, it changed my whole view on the mystery man who is "isidur1".

The writing is so good I wonder if he writes this in Swedish first and then a true author rewrites what he said in English for this blog.

Viktor Blom raised to 9,000 from early position and Nicolas Levi moved all in for 110,500 from the big blind. Blom claimed he felt Levi had ace-king and opted to go for the flip. Levi held the {J-Clubs}{J-Diamonds} though and this wasn't going to be a flip with Blom holding the {4-Spades}{4-Diamonds}.

The board ran out {A-Spades}{9-Spades}{3-Clubs}{J-Spades}{K-Hearts} and Blom sent over the chips.

Shak plays at the level of thousands of players at the main event of the WSOP. People that got in for far less then 10k. The hand antonio busted in could have happened vs 50% of the field in the WSOP. In the WSOPE main event 5-10% of the field catch antonio in that spot.
The unknowns who will chase you down are something all the pros have to adapt to constantly in the WSOP. Until they get a decent stack, then they want the action. Just looking at the field at WSOPE and you can see it is a completely different dynamic.

It just shows the dramatic difference in the types of fields of these 2 great events.

FWIW I am not knocking Dan Shak as poker players we want more successful people who devote so much time and resources to our game. By all accounts he is success in the business world. He is not a top poker player but he still enjoys the game, good for him.

BLOMS GOT BALLZ

Viktor Blom has just shown the sort of bottle that's won and lost him millions over the last couple of years. He was involved in a pot with Rob Akery who himself is a high-stakes online cash player.

The turn had just been dealt and the board read {6-Spades}{j-Hearts}{k-Hearts}{5-Hearts} with around 70k already in the middle. Akery checked from UTG and then called Blom's 52,000 bet from mid-position. The river came {4-Spades} and Akery quickly checked to face a 278,000 all-in push from Blom. Akery looked like he was at the London Dungeons rather than Leicester Square as he had a tortured look upon his face as he pondered his decision for his last 260k. He eventually folded only to be shown {a-Diamonds}{q-Hearts} from Blom for a bluff.
