After being down to a point where Amit Makhija was open-shoving any opportunity he had, he has now taken a large lead over Viktor "I just might be Isildur1" Blom. The final swing of the ax from Makhija came on a {3-Clubs}{8-Spades}{10-Clubs}{5-Spades} board, after Blom check-raised the flop.

Blom bet enough on the turn to essentially put Makhija all in, and Makhija made the call showing down the {10-Spades}{7-Spades} which was slightly ahead of the {9-Clubs}{7-Clubs} which was drawing very live with both flush and straight outs.

The {k-Hearts} on the river, however would be no help to Blom and Makhija was shipped the largest pot of the match. Makhija now has about 47,000, while Blom is left with about 13,000.

Here he played the HU 10k so hes probably playing the main event too.

The Main Event starts on Thursday. Looks very likely he'll be playing since he's in town and was in the high-roller.

he told me he was planning on leaving town after the EPT high roller, So id imagine you'll see him in several events in the next couple of weeks. he played very tough headsup, but thats pretty obvious, hes the best.

I'm a bit torn... I don't want to bother if he won't talk.

However the one thing I'd like to ask is about the underground game I didn't get into in Uddevalla because the Swedish guy I was with said something ******o at the door and they wouldn't let us in.

I got a lot of stick for that; people told me I had lost all nerve, I had failed at the crucial moment, when really it was the people I was with who failed. But I take the point that it was really unsatisfying for anyone who read my story.

And maybe I could have knocked on the door first, and tried talking in English, rather than leaving it to the nervous Swedish teenagers I was with. Because of course it meant more to me than it did to them.

So, if I saw Blom I would like to ask him about that game. I know he won't have been there that night, since he moved to Gothenburg. But did he ever play there? (I heard he did). Would there have been people there who could tell me stories about him?

Even if he won't talk about Isildur1, I'd hope he could talk about this.

How was he? Did he talk much during the match with you?
