I would be surprised if this took place as they will cancel it if they will lose money on it and I imagine all entrants will lose their money.

That's an unreasonable jump imo. There's nothing at this stage to suggest that the organisers are scammers, they're just incompetent!

Wait. According to the results page, only five players so far have >50k in chips. Surely it would be better to just make this a straight satellite so every qualifier is guaranteed not to be a potential short stack from the get go? :/

If you are indeed a rep of ISPT, how about you start by listing everything that is decided at this stage (structure, prizes, guarantees, logistics etc) because things have changed so much that most of us have lost track? For example, the information about the conference centre came from your operations contractor.

1°) There is no guaranteed prize pool

2°) Starting stacks are 50k for players who buyin directly to Day 2. Starting blinds are 100/200.

1) At the current rate of qualifiers you'll be looking at around 100 players going into Day 2. Will you still bother with the tournament in this case?
1b) If you do only get 100 players to Day 2, will you consider the tournament a success or a failure?
2) Why have you now got 3+ accounts on 2+2?
3) Given what an absolute mess you and your company have made of this why do you still have a job?
4) Why did ISPT remove the $30m guarantee? Or the €20m guarantee?

Actually, the UK version of the website does not say where we can play.

1°) We still bother with the tournament whatever the numbers of players.
Obv that will consider the tournament as a failure if we get only 100 players for Day2, but don't worry, we are expecting a lot of players for next Days 1 and Day 2.

2°) My predecessors had the good idea to don't give me their account ...

3°) I'm here to erase this "absolute mess". Our tournament is already started. It's time for us to bring real answers.

This is an absolute lie. There's no misunderstanding whatever, there's a lot of forensic evidence (youtube and the cache of ispt.com) indicating that both a $30m guarantee and a €20m guarantee existed.
