also if Pokerstars took this line, each EPT/UKIPT would have 60 day 1s and 5000 players, why can't you just call them satties and get rid of the 30k player ambitions

Lock Poker´s ISPT online Day 1A was postponed last night, after only two players registered for the first of the site´s six Day 1 Wembley qualifiers.

They really ****ed this up good. If they wanted to get thousands of runners they had to have lots and lots of sattys on all the major poker sites.

i wonder if they pull out last minute ... in an interview the ispt pr guy said, that only when 16k/17k + runners attend, ispt will make profit (well actually he 2st said, that if they don't have the players, the event will be cancelled. later ispt said, that this was a miss understanding/wrong translation)

They have a lot of side events scheduled. They probably already spent a lot of money. I think it'll run, but will just be a quite small poker festival. The main event will be more of a non event. There're plenty of people in London who will show up and play some side events/cash (if they have it.)

They will probably show up later this year or next, with a new much more standard poker tour to be held at normal venues with no mention of the ispt.

While more than one thousand players competed in the $100K guaranteed feature event running at the same time on the site, only two players registered for the $400 + $20 buy-in ISPT Day 1A – leaving Lock Poker with no option but to cancel the tournament and re-schedule it for next weekend.

this is even more stupid ... i thought 1 in 10 makes day 2, so if 6 players start, the sat winners is screwed, because of his stack (well at least 1 guarantee)

Everyone please try be less negative. If ISPT is a sucess it could do a lot of good to poker, especially in the UK. So it is in everyone's interest that it goes on.
Worst case scenario it will be a smaller event, who cares, at least they tried and maybe next year they organize it better and get it right.
