congrats on the sale! ever since the beginning of my poker journey over a decade ago, checking this site daily has been an integral part of changing my life for the better. couldn't possibly imagine where I would be at or what I would be doing without this site.

Thanks for everything Mason, 2p2 is truly legendary. It changed my life, and it's one of the few websites I visit regularly. I remember being mocked for my horrible play on FTP, the person trolling me mentioned 2p2 so I joined. I was never a great player, nor did I have the success I wanted for myself in poker, but due to 2p2 I've made more through poker than any single job in my life. I work in the service industry so that's not much of a brag lol. This community means a lot to me, over the years it has changed but just seeing the website layout brings a smile to my face.

I hope the new owners can keep the spirit of 2p2, while clearing up the forum clutter without trying to make the website too sleek. The amazing things 2p2 did for poker and the world are too numerous to mention. The only terrible mistake was banning Limon. Mason, I loved your jokes on Limon's PokerSesh. GL in your future endeavors.

Early 80s I was making frequent trips to Vegas. Craps, roulette, and 21 were the games I played mostly. I had a bookie where I lived to bet sports and a local track to play the ponies. I can’t remember why but I read a magazine called Gambling Times regularly. Sklansky wrote a column regularly there and I remember an article Mason wrote about card domination in 21. In a column Sklansky wrote about reading hands in poker, I thought after reading it nobody does that, poker is just a game of luck. I played poker occasionally with some friends. Always lost, I was a hopeless chaser for sure. I kept seeing references to a poker game called holdEm in Gambling Times. I thought to myself how is this game played? Nobody I hung with knew how it was played either. In one of my trips to Vegas I visited the Gamblers Book Shop. I saw a little book called Holdem Poker by David Sklansky. Great I have seen articles by him in Gambling Times. So I bought the book thinking now I will learn what the rules are. As I read the book I couldn’t believe what I was reading. It completely transformed my gambling habits. I gave up all the minus EV gambling I was doing and vowed to become a good poker player. From that point on I was pretty much hooked on poker and bought every twoplustwo book that came out. I was doing well playing holdÂ’em too.

Fast forward to late 90s (97 or 98). I remember sitting at my computer then wondering if twoplustwo had a website. So I tried twoplustwo.com and yes they did. I think I made about the fourth or fifth post on the site offering my $0.02 on a hand. Got really involved in strategy discussions for a long time. I have learned so much about poker in particular and gambling in general from reading posts on this site.

Happy retirement Mason. I can’t state enough how much sharing your thoughts and ideas have helped me.

poker is fun and all, but 2p2 has been about much more than just poker.

i wonder how many connections and friendships were made as a result of this space existing? it's got to be in the thousands at least.

i know i've made quite a few over the years, and i thank you for that. you've brought a significant amount of positivity into the universe by fostering and growing this community in the way you have. think of all the people who never would have met or formed friendships with each other if it weren't for 2p2 existing.
