Even douchier than thecart3r telling foo to give up over 40k cos he doesnt deserve to be there, i think youre exaggerating a little a bit.
Let me ask you this if you knew you had an edge on this ft with once in a lifetime money to be made would you be trying to carve out the best deal for yourself,i think anyone would so dont be so quick to judge.

Stars should sign maratik up, inspirational poker story. Unless he turns out to be a vodka swilling bear baiting midget torturing sob in which case they shouldn't obv.

I think stars must have or are working on some sort of promotional campaign advertising this whole story, either now in time for the next coop's.

Damm! I was so trying to impress you. I'll clue you in....I say what I think (usually at the moment) and really could care less what you or anyone else thinks. . . ohhh the perils of a blog anyone can comment on.

"because the final table played out exactly as it would have if no deal was made.. " ..... I was clearly joking since nobody would ever do this with the exception possibly of me.

"Even douchier than thecart3r telling foo to give up over 40k cos he doesnt deserve to be there, i think youre exaggerating a little a bit.

" ...... first comment may be correct. As for the Deal....comeon....I watched almost every WCOOP Deal this years and dozens of Sunday mill's....and I think 90% of Pro's I have seen would have been less of a prick and been happy with the 1 million they asked for at a volatile table where he could....and did...go out far below (his) expectation.....250K vs Gtd Million.

To the "he won 4 mill..".comments, no kidding....never said he was not a pro, just a douche as viewed as a non professional, and any and all non-Pro's and Elite 2+2'Eers would agree with me. Truth remains....he made almost 1/2 mill because of an amateurs deal making "skills" because w/o him giving in our said Pro's 'deal skills' would have netted him 1/2 million less. Right?
You all need to take it easy....

Yeah I will surely watch the whole FT replay to see how he "luckboxed" a win from 8 pros.... not saying it cant be done, either way a great story if one can, again.... "luckbox" through about 800 online legends to win a WCOOP ME? It boggles the mind.

Can anyone explain the likely rational of calling off 10 million chips with 2nd pair? Obviously the guy is a pro and has won tons of money, I just do not understand a calling there.

If I recall he was offered 960k(ish) and refused saying 'I wont a million'.

Guy clearly knows his ICM

To the observing eye its hard to understand, it could of be something that telks thought he picked up on , and went with his read, if he would of been right it would of been classed as genius as it happens he had it wrong who cares, the guy as probably got one of the best records in these high buyin events and prob as the best record amongst the hsmtt regs in the 1k's so he's obviously doing something right.

LOL when munchen asked maratik to give him 200k because he needed 1.25

So they set aside the first numbers of the chip chop and went for ICM numbers...how is the chip chop calculated? I always thought that was ICM
Something like:
6 players left:
[?]"6th place prize" + (remaining prizepool - 6*"6th place prize")*% of total chip?
[?]straight to "remaining prizepool"*% of total chips?

3. Go from $18,000,000 to $9,000,000 Tournament Chips in less than 30 minutes.
4. Somehow make the rest of the table believe that I "have an edge" and force them to give me an extra 50K, or I will refuse to chop.

Munchen > Kissinger
Yeah, I thought Munchen was a complete idiot during negotiations. I just wish Maratik had actually won a little more than him when it was all said and done.

Microdonk or not....hopes and dreams live through stories like this. Congrats Maratik!

As to the 100 FPP to a seat question: My best score before BF was $2K in the million...started in a 225 FPP shovefest...5 levels later I was all in in the BB for the seat someone at another table got knocked out just before me...*bink*...turned it into an 86th place for just over $2K (not so veiled barg)....so FPP satty miracles do happen. I can vouch for that.
