Fantastic story and a true micro-legend. Reading the chatlogs, what strikes me is that he seems to go from having trouble writing/spelling english to writing more accurate sentences. "dont english" to "i dont agree to give 44K". I guess he had time to use google translate if the deal took 50 mins

Is it possible that he had somebody else playing instead of him?

For a not that successful micros grinder it would be +EV to call a best player that he can find once he got into 107k FPPs satty to play instead of him for 50/50 cut.

I'm going to try to remember Munchen's strategy the next time I negotiate a Donkament Chop:

1. Raise every hand while I'm holding 80% of the tournament chips, with 6 players left.
2. Fold every time I get re-raised.
3. Go from $18,000,000 to $9,000,000 Tournament Chips in less than 30 minutes.
4. Somehow make the rest of the table believe that I "have an edge" and force them to give me an extra 50K, or I will refuse to chop.

I love that people are simultaneously accusing him of terrible play and having a pro play in his place.

Also a lot of people saying he's a degen or terrible player. From what I can tell he was fairly successful at the micros and used good bankroll management. I know that skills at micro stakes don't usually transfer to playing well against top competition, but give the guy some credit. I'm sure he was extremely lucky, but who at that final table wasnt? So stop the hate until he actually does blow the money.

Thats not the point though...Plays very tiny satellite,got lucky and got even more lucky...Its just a cool story..Can you not just leave the rush roulette joke at that and not have to disect it or whatever.

Looks like he only entered one satellite which he won the seat from. Also saying he was a "not that successful micros grinder" is unfair considering he was a winning player up ~$6k with an abi of ~$2. Just because someone doesn't play the nosebleeds doesn't make them a losing player.

Ok , made a mistake about him being not successful , but he didn't enter just that satellite, SS won't count sattys when the prize is more FPP's
I am not saying that he did call someone to play instead of him, I am saying that maybe that would be a smart move.

And no hate from me towards him, GG and hope he doesn't donk it off
