All the other stacks on the table around around 500 to 1500.

Drunken Dave is always pullin' **** like when he wants to put you in he has to pull his arms back then sweep them forward and announce in a big boomin' voice "I'M ALL INNNNNNNN!!!!!" , when all he had to do was put enough out to cover you. He's always berating the players and dealers too.

Al, a local pro has about 1000 in red in front of him. He gets up and heads to his safe deposit box. He gets out $20,000 then goes to the cage and gets 4 cranberries ($5000 chips). He comes back to the table and sits the cranberries on top of his stack.

After awhile Drunken Dave and Al get into it. Dave's got the third nut flush and Al has the nut flush. Dave looks at Al, then at Al's stack, then pulls his arms back and here it comes:

"I'M ALL INNNNNNN!!!! says Dave, sweeping his hands forward. CALLLLLL!!!!!!!! says Al.
"I guess you got me" says Dave. "How much you got there?"
"$20,560" says Al.
"WTF!!!!!" says Dave

Dave is all sober now. He eyes zero in on Al's stack. He see's those 4 cranberries and screams "FLOOR!!!!, FLOOR!!!!!, FLOOR!!!!!

The floorman gets there and Dave screams "He hid those cranberries on me."
"No I didn't" says Al
The floor looks around at everybody at the table including the dealer. "Did he have those cranberries hidden" He asked. Everyone at the table agreed the cranberries were in plain sight.

"Pay him, Dave!!! says the floor.
"(^%&$#&*())^^$&$%())_ " says Dave as he pays Al off.
WTF? The buyins aren't capped?

How do you put $30,000 down in a capped game? Not all games are capped. They even have 1/2's in Vegas that are not capped. You just have to know where they are at.

A true player wouldn't call this move without correct odds.. whether he wins or not. What's balla is he plays the hand perfectly by reducing his stack.... a better move would have been retaining $100 to call with.

WIN WIN WIN SCENARIO: PAWNS THE DOUCHBAG, PLAYS PERFECT, OWNS TABLE FOR REST OF NIGHT

Why not retain $0 and draw for free?

why are you being such a life nit? the fact that he gives the money away and then rationalizes calling by saying "well, i'm pot committed" makes it better.

I agree. I was responding to the poster who suggested that his play would be perfect if he'd kept enough that he would have had to call more. Or at least that's what I thought he was saying.

If the flush hits and the reg wins the hand, you can bet that he calls the floorman over (Jeff if it's swing and Kathy if its graveyard) to have the other player replenish his stack with the amount of the tip ("table stakes"). The cagey Reg however waits to see the result of the hand, loses the pot, and says nothing. He's gaining the equity here, losing the minimum when the flush hits and getting payed off max if his hand holds. Genius.

Common, you really think the floor is going to favor the idiot rich guy that's in town for a few nights, or the local reg who tips the employees on a regular basis? Now instead of the cocktail waitress, say the rich guy tips the floorman who happens to walk by during the play of the hand....

That's funny you chose the Bellagio cocktail waitresses seeing that the post was about the Wynn waitress. Probably a good decision considering how nitty some of the Wynn waitresses are.

I remember one night they were out of Bailleys and had some generic Irish cream (which is pretty much the same ****) and whenever I ordered a Baileys on ice the waitresses would remind me that "it isnt Baileys, just Irish cream." Ok whatever, but after the 5th drink and 5th reminder I asked why the fuss? And the ditsy blond responds, "Well that's what I was told to say, so I do what they tell me so I won't lose my job." - lol

From the OP it looks like the floor was called and they ruled in the old guy's favor.

By "It's ruled that he's allowed to do that," I'm sure OP means that the dealer simply proceeded with the hand, ran the turn and river cards, and pushed the pot to the winner. OP doesn't mention anything about a floorman, plus all this is coming to us third-handed, Rekrul's friend.

I can almost gaurantee that what really happened is closer to the scenario of my previos post. Again, don't underestimate the local reg who's been hustling at the poker table much longer than this rich tourist.

Would have been better if the cocky reg bitched about it immediately and the floor forced old guy to not tip...and then old guy scoops the pot anyway...

good story though...

Both Wynn and Caesars have uncapped 2-5 games...
