Anybody know what Rekrul is up to these days? He was king of the hill for a brief period of time.

How the **** is this legal lol?
Next time I play live, I'll pay a waitress to jump in when I get it in behind (no pun intended), tip/pay her everything I got but three fiddy, and split it after the session.

Ya it's not. Poor decision by floor staff.

This took place about 3-4 years ago.

Playing in Detroit. 2-5nl. The big game at this casino is 5-10nl but for some reason it's not running right now. Kevin is playing in the 2-5 game, which is unusual. Usually if the big game isn't running, he's upstairs at the baccarat table, but for whatever reason he's decided to grace us with his presence this day. The 5-10 game is built around this guy. There's a few big donators, but he takes the cake. He consistently raises to 100 preflop wtih ATC, and if he connects with the board at all, he doesn't fold....ever.

He's playing the 2-5 game fairly similarly. Raising to 50 preflop about 2/3 of the time it's folded to him, seeing about 90% of the flops, and running red hot and built his stack up to about 2500 (500 max buy in). He gets in a pot with a young twenty something year old with the hoodie, sunglasses, and headphones, and he puts the kid all in for about $300. Kid is staring him down like it's the final table of the WSOP. You aren't going to get a tell on this guy, this bet means so little to him. Eventually the kid makes the call with top two pair (should've been an instant call), Kevin was bluffing, and doubles the kid up.

The kid shoots up from his chair, shouting and clapping, saying "I KNEW YOU WERE BLUFFING, I JUST KNEW IT" like he just got an amazing read off of Kevin. He continues to berate Kevin, and says, "I'm gonna bust you, you know." Kevin responds "I've got plenty more chips in my pocket in case you do." Kid responds "Well then I'm going to take every chip from your pocket off of you as well."

Kevin then takes his chips out of his pocket. About $120,000 in 5K gray chips, and plops them down on the table. I don't think we heard one other word from the kid the entire night. He packed up his headphones, got up, and cashed out about 30 minutes later.

its not legal to take any money off the table. they let it go for small tips and food. and will rule that way. but taking a large amount off especially during a pot a sane floor person would rule he has to put it back or fold his hand.

it just makes sense as if he has the nuts it plays but if a weak call then he can take it off the table.

How many times a night are you planning on doing this. First, the situation where you want to go all in but don't want to commit the chips doesn't happen all that often if you are a good player. Second, I'm sure all the players at the table would be like, cool bro, no problem. After doing the same move more than once they wouldn't find it at all suspicious and would just let you keep doing it. Also, the logistics are not feasible. You are in a hand, what are you going to do. Excuse me, can you guys wait a minute or two for the cocktail girl to arrive before I make my move." But I commend you on your great criminal mind. Pure genius really

Isn't this a negative free roll? If he's going to give the waitress that much, why not just call the bet and have a shot of winning the hand?

ummmm maybe because he knew he was a dog to win the hand and only wanted the kid to win 25$ more instead of 500$ and gave zero ****s about the money but had to prove a point

Guy spends too much time posting on 2+2 and as result does not understand balling.

Wow, first time I've seen this thread. The OP's story is pretty much a live version of disconnect protection abuse.

Cool stories, even if some are urban myths. May more show up now that this thread has been bumped.
