We got to witness the real Nick for a good 24 hours, him coming on here threatening people and denying everything and just giving off a roid rage vibe. Dude knows he is a scammer of the worst kind, scamming vets out of their life savings and many others. But what gets me is his arrogance about it.

How ironic that 2 major scammers, Matusow and Vertucci are vehemently defended by Ryan Feldman. Funny, Feldman has been MIA in this thread and the MM thread for weeks now. Hard to keep defending the indefensible.

Your questions are irrelevant because when you defame someone by calling them a "convicted felon" and a "scam artist" it's libel per se...meaning you don't have to prove intent or actual damages. And yes California would be the venue since Nick resides there and that's where his business is based.

California law has a broad definition of “per se” defamation. It consists of anything that is damaging on its face without further explanation.
Most “per se” cases occur when someone falsely accuses another person of having committed a crime or being unfit to practice the person’s trade, business, or profession.
the publication, or defamatory statement in question, is considered so damaging that the plaintiff is entitled to sue without having to prove actual damages. Such statements constitute defamation per se under California law.

I mean no one is talking about his personal life, we’re talking about his business dealings and his poker career. He is an owner of HCL, and has access to a bunch of poker media figures. He regularly makes commentary on these topics, including in this thread. It’s not like he’s some unknown poker player who keeps to themselves. He put himself in the spotlight intentionally.

Also kind of weird, are you a lawyer yourself? If not I don’t see how either of our qualifications are relevant.
