Whether he is to blame or not, or knew about it or not, he's been driving sports cars and living in houses that were paid for with that money (as have the others, of course). This is clearly just a ploy to get out of a tough, and possibly incriminating interview.
Ditto, I'm really surprised that he turned down the interview, and the only way that seems like a plausible explanation is that he knows he'll get roasted and didn't want to either incriminate himself or look really bad.
Because at least in my eyes he came off really well in the first two interviews and while he's obviously far from a victim, he portrayed himself well as someone that was put in a really tough situation that did the best that he could. You could almost kind of empathize with him from the story he wove.
But that is completely out the window now, which just must mean that there must just be a lot of damning evidence against him that he can't just try and brush off as he didn't know not his fault in an interview with someone that actually knew what happened.
