What really frosted my cake was their complete and utter silence for years after black friday. If Lederer and Ferguson had tried to reach out to the players in some way, had said anything, had made even a small attempt to make things right it would have gone a long way to some level of future forgiveness. But they hid behind their lawyers of course...they made their bed, it was their arrogance that brought them to this point.
Agree. I would have been satisfied by a simple acknowlegement that they cant comment now on their lawyers advice and that maybe they would make a statement in the future.
There couldn't have been a worse moment for an apology letter, than right before a WSOP he wanted to attend. This proves more hypocrisy and the moment in itself contradicts all the content of the letter. If he had really been feeling guilty, he would have issued the apology at a random date - whenever the remorse would have happened to kick in.
Hasn't he been gambling in vegas the past few years? IIRC someone snapped a shot of him sitting with Nick Schulman and Doyle in Bobby's room post Black Friday.
I always assumed that the FTP lawyers had demanded he say nothing.
Anyone know whether any statute of limitations might have recently expired - allowing lawyers to lift a ban on FTP executives making a public apology?
(If that's not the case and no such direction ever existed, then this late and self-serving apology followed by a return to the tables is an utter disgrace.)
