lol, yup pretty much. Loads of different cash games out there, if you happen to be playing one you find boring then I guess most logical option is to go and find yourself a game that fits your requirements for a fun game.

Cash games won't become more fun if you just increase the skill edge of the best players, it's not how it works. Cash games can only become fun again if it's easier to make $ & those days are long gone.

If we just stop complicating the game, it's already a really good achievement.

Live cash games are more fun, except for slow pace of the game, other players coughing on you, dirty chips and cards, driving to the casino...

So make online more like live without the bad stuff.

Play online. Offer camera and voice chat. One table max. No HUDs.

If there is no competition , there is no motivation to play . Why not make a league to see who is the best ? thats what makes the game interesting , see who is the best and have the dream that "i can do it too". Poker need that on all variants not just in cash, and in the past we have that and amaya just took that away and turn this **** into a casino. Poker now is not cool or swag like it was before, people see it with more negative perpective because is associated to gambling . The supernova elites could have ferraris with the rakeback and all that stuff , and that is what makes the game fun and the dream alive. People just worry too much about ecosystem(which is important too!) and dont see the main point here.

Poker needs another boom to get the folks in there who just want to play for fun, experience what they see on TV, etc. Remembering how much fun live poker was 10-15 years ago compared to now is night and day. Back then you could go to the poker room at a casino and interact with people across the spectrum. Now it's 90% nits and people who at least have a clue what they're doing and are there to win only. You also had more of a chance to win unlike now, and any game is more fun for people when the skill level gap isn't so wide.

You'd also need to get rid of all the gotdamn iPods, iPhones, and all the iDum*** stuff people use at the tables that completely kills the live interaction/conversation. Finally, ban all political talk at the table because nothing is worse!

I can't even play live poker for more than an hour or two now, it's just terrible. Anytime I get the itch I'd rather just go on Ignition or whatever for awhile and splash around.

afaik most live games are still soft as ****, maybe engage more with the players to have a fun time.
