Why? Because he won two 180 player donkaments in the 80s?

back to back two ME champ and second place finish at third. He was the best by then, and like I respect the current best players (i.e Ivey or so) so do I repect the past best players.

I've been seated at his table a few times at tournaments hearing him berate dealers just like other bitter pros. The energy drink salesmanship is so pathetic. I think him and Mr. Lee "Hardcore Elegance" Watkinson should team up and blow whatever tournament winnings they have left.

this.

johnny chan has even said it himself that when he went on that ridiculous ME heater that the other players 'weren't used to his style of play (he said 'asian' style of play)'. i hope he goes broke if he's as huge an arrogant douche as people say he is because he has no reason at all to be that way anymore or ever for that matter (you don't see Phil Ivey getting called out on that kind of stuff)

Not really sure, and I have no idea what I'm talking about (but this is NVG), but doesn't he have a reputation for being a huge douchebag to dealers? Can't remember any specific stories but I think they're out there.

I played some $500/1k at the commerce with him and he was passive and weak and definitely a weak spot in the game. He was grumpy and douchey and never tipped a dollar.

If the guy was respectable he'd get respect...

To judge players this way, you must assume you know and understand what the best poker move is in every hand you watch. The guys who have won the absolute most money at poker (Ivey, Durrrr etc) do a lot of things that seem bizarre and senseless, but the more you learn, the more sense it starts to make...

Is it because he doesn't play on the internet?
