Not gonna bother clicking link and reading/listening. I have no idea how that putrid woman is still anywhere in the poker world.

You however are assisting in this happening. DUCY?

Those who can't, teach.
Those who can't teach, preach.

cant rem what NPR segment it was on. Was it call in show ?

at least two questions I could think of that would have been interesting to hear her answer live on air.

I listened and there was a lot of horse**** being spun on both sides.

The ending of the piece is actually hilarious if you're a fan of poker. Basically, the reporter said Hellmuth was upset and had a blow-up because he lost to a women.

Which is totally false because I'm sure we could find 50 clips of Phil getting ticked off whenever he loses. Be it a women, a man or some idiot from northern European. So basically the reporter shaped the narrative to fit the theory he was highlighting. If you're just a listener to NPR and not a fan of poker - you're probably thinking. Wow, men get upset when they get beat by a woman.

One reason why he may have used Duke is there aren't a lot of instances where a woman beats a group of men.

Also, the fact he used 'match' was really tilting and lazy reporting. Unless you're playing heads-up, I've never heard poker referred to as a match.

Gimme a break... Did you really expect top notch reporting from someone doing a 2015 poker segment with Annie Duke?

Right off the bat you know they did absolutely no research.

Respect for Paul Wasicka for taking that grisly beat so well.

So rotten to see Annie Duke being held up as a paragon of female poker skill in 2015 when there are hundreds of women who actually win at poker in 2015 and also don't (repeatedly) pimp scam companies.

When she was a fat bitch up until 2003 no one ever considered Annie Duke. She was a fat slob up until that point. When she came to the WSOP in 2004 she was a sleaked down hot little bitch. She dropped all that weight because she knew Moneymaker had caused an explosion in poker Annie, the fat housewife, who didn't give a rats ass about the slob men in poker, dropped the weight because she knew massive cameras were going to show up in 2004. She worked it real good.

I can tell you something else about her 2004 Omaha hi-lo win that year. You would only know this story if you were a fly on the wall like I was. But I damn sure heard it. I'll tell you later. I have to get some sleep now.

My comment on Duke on NPR's site.
"Shankar used a very poor example in Annie Duke in his story of confounding gender/stereo types. Duke has a well deserved reputation in the poker world as an unpleasant dishonest personality. Check the poker site 2plus2 for a long list of transgressions from poor hygiene to financial fraud. Jennifer Harman would have been a much better choice."
