Because they don't have to and it's logistically difficult to keep track of without Bravo at the tables. Maybe if everyone agreed to increase the rake/drop by a dollar, they could hire someone to go around and record player hours.

Did they do away with “official satellite locations” for this?

300$ event is interesting. might be the worst turbo ever in wsop and im not sure if thats a good or bad thing? and so is the low buyin NL PLO mix

seems like a good spread schedule but I didn't look too deep into it

Interesting changes to the LHE schedule. They used to do all three LHE events around the same time. Now the $1,500 LHE is June 1, with the $10,000 a bit later, but the $3,000 6max isn't until June 25. I kind of like it, as it provides two separate parts of the series where someone could show up and play LHE, but it's probably very annoying for people that show up for a week or so to just play the LHE and surrounding events and then leave.

Looks like “Tournament Buy-In Credits” instead. I assume they just didn’t like people selling their lammers so now you’ll have to use your “credits” or WSOP just keeps the cash.

Not sure I love the idea of fewer satellite options. Feels like that will impact entry numbers in a lot of stuff if true.

Seems like their big push this year is to shatter the Main Event entry record so they can have a record-breaking field and first prize to publicize at what's technically the first WSOP in the "newly-renovated Las Vegas Horseshoe". A massive first prize is most likely to catch the attention of mainstream media outlets outside the poker bubble.
