Jake (allegedly) cheated in online poker in ways that he possibly cannot do so in live setting. That’s the key point.

So is WSOP supposed to:
1) Just ban him based upon random overseas entity’s determination?
2) create some investigation team of their own?

i used to play quite a bit online and live and i don't even bother anymore. the poker community hasn't received a dime from me (a mediocre rec) in over eight yrs. why should i bother? untold hundreds of thousands? millions? every year don't enter the poker ecosystem bc ppl have the same feelings i do

I can almost guarantee if you told him what Jake did he wouldn’t give a chit. He would probably correctly say that anyone who plays online for significant money is an idiot. If you don’t assume people are up to something then you are a clown. Most of what sites do is ban people after the fact. But money long gone.

Now if people who feel they got robbed want to do something about it by all means. The floor is theirs. But it’s not up to the Jones’s.

I assume the dealer shortage isnt as bad as it was last year. I was railing the stud in kings lounge and they legit said just come in and deal until they find a dealer LMAO

I think your point is WSOP should not be held accountable for online "cheating", which is fine I guess. But WSOP also offers online tournaments. Are you proposing that WSOP should ban this guy from the online events, but let him play live?

Regarding the 2nd, what they may or may have not done on GG has nothing to do with WSOP. They weren’t playing on WSOP.com.

But there are two components to this; while you make a reasonable view that perhaps ban from any the online events, the more important one is that it’s a completely different entity. That can ban a player on a whim and often provide no details.

At any rate, I still think imploring Bill Jones to yell at Jake Schindler in the hallway, bathroom, or wherever to help preserve Alex Foxen’s dignity is stupid lol

i have diamond and i'm still probably not going back. getting 5 hands per down with terrible dealers and internally raging about it isn't fun healthy or profitable.

I was on that table it may be true. We were all late reggers and got put on a brand new table it was the very first hand. That dealer was actually decent the 2 that followed could barely shuffle the cards so id say low chance she just forgot to shuffle.

Also, "forgetting to shuffle" doesn't put the Ad and Td nine cards apart, or Qh and Qc nine cards apart, or the 2h between Qd and Kd, or another card (burn) in between Qd and Jd, with the Qs two cards away from Jd.

I am not saying forgot to shuffle, I am saying didn't scramble the deck like you have to on a brand new set up, and probably half-ass shuffle also.
