Not totally sure of the criteria, but would have to give the nod to Eric Seidel and Fedor Holz seem like decent people who haven't been involved in anything to doubt their honesty.

Andy Bloch and Brian Rast comes off as good people too.

My honesty criteria involved would I trust buying a used car or a house from them, since most car salespeople and real estate agents I've encountered seem questionable when it comes to honesty.

Chip Reese came from a different era with different type of poker. Comparing him to others outside that era is kinda like comparing peoples morality from old west to now.

In this thread, people who have never met other people judge their character based on what they've seen of them on television.

I disagree. It happens often enough where some can be honest in the following after whatever river card is dealt on the felt:

Player A: You should fold.
Player B: Will you show me if I fold?
Player A: I promise to show you if you fold.
Player B: Ok, I fold.
Player A; Pair of ducks, I win.
Player B: You SOB, you made me fold pocket 6s!!

About 1 reply/h

I suppose that a dishonest poker player thread would grow much quicker.

Andy Bloch? The former Full Tilt stake holder and promoter? Andy Bloch, who knew Full Tilt was not liquid, yet sat quietly by as millions were stolen from the players? BTW, plenty of people never made whole by this fiasco. Andy may be rated just higher than E-Dog.

Eric Seidel and Barry Greenstein (both mentioned above) are two other former Full Tilt pro's who received cash payments which were diverted from player balances and used player's money to fund their online bankrolls.

People are always ready to hate on Lederer and Ferguson and Lindgren, but guys like Seidel and Greenstein (not to mention Phil Ivey,) somehow those guys always get a pass. In fact they get such a big free pass that they are cited in a thread about who are the honest guys in poker. Why is that?

Mikey is correct about many not being made whole. I lost a little over $1000 to the payment processors. Full Tilt said it paid me and I never got the funds. And let's not forget that it was the Sheinbergs and Pokerstars that paid those who did get funds, not anybody involved with Full Tilt.

Notice that not one person has mentioned Doug Polk despite the fact that he is very well-known, and spends a lot of his time judging others.
