You're not supposed to like Jamie Gold. He's a heel. The dynamic of him talking about how great he is to some of the world's best cash game pros and then proceeding to lose over $200k on the show was pure gold, imo. Not sure what more you could want, tbh.

We allready have Hellmuth for that. Just don't like him that's all.

The production value of High Stakes Poker made it seem like a classy big side of town gambling night with mostly high net worth individuals. They should at least have the graphics accordingly and not some discount GG Poker vibe.

the actual game (lineup, stakes, stacks, etc.) has more to do with how watchable it will be than everything else imo assuming it’s produced at least okay.

also for those that are watching to improve their game (high stakes game with great players after all), there are far better commentators than Gabe or AJ in 2020.

Gabe was way more in tune with the players thought processes back then than he would be now I’m assuming.

My guess is that they are probably trying to keep up with the times rather than catering to the average fan that was playing 2/5 in 2009 and wants to see them run that style of show back.

That one was in my reddit feed. It isn't being streamed live afaik so I guess someone who has access is posting some random ones.
