Phil tried selling his house on twitter recently:

Its not like hes living in mansions. My thought on Phil is this, hes been a break even or losing player for close to a decade. The only money hes made is from endorsements, which within the past decade have dried up tremendously - im assuming. A high stakes poker game where he has $200K on the table could very well be a decent chunk of his net worth.

And Its funny that hes not even at the table for half the show, almost as if he knows hes not +EV in this lineup and really is jjsut their for the free publicity.

That call from Koon is a shocker, really surprised to see him make it.

Still love him though.

He could have a 6m mortgage, i dont know any sane person that would count their real estate in their poker bankroll. I wouldnt be surprised if Hellmuth was staked by Chamath.

Poker bankroll and net worth are two completely different subjects.

I think the gist of what the previous poster was saying, even if his verbiage and terminology were incorrect, was that $200K may represent a large portion of PH's available liquid capital that could possibly be used in a poker game.

AJ giggling away at Gabe's 10/10 commentary is genuinely terrific.

One of, if not the, best poker duos of all time.

PH saying he's best ever while too scared to put a chip in pot. Meanwhile Dwan is soulreading and hasn't lost a step. Also in last episode you could see Dwan eyeing Hellmuth. He knew he was scared and just waiting to get him in a pot.

People seem to wrongly assume that if one has a high net worth they should be donating large sums of money into a game. They also assume that because one is a poker pro, that player should only be taking the most +EV lines.

Phil Hellmuth is not a cash game pro. He says what he's been doing has been working for the past few dozen times he has played in "big" games, and we have no reason to doubt that he's run well over that time period. He's clearly not trying to win the maximum but at the same time is not interested in dumping large amounts of money in the game either. I doubt that has anything to do with his net worth or his liquid assets though.

Nope. He's winning everywhere. Tournaments, cash, whatever. He's always winning. 25/26 cash games, he's a winner.

I want to see Dwan win, but I was rooting for a black 5 or 6. I don't see him calling the turn purely to hit a diamond.

In disbelief that Chemical Warfare was not aware of flush possibility until Dwan showed his hand.

Phil H is confirmed pretty crazy from many well known pros, and i believe he have some narsisstic personality problems. Like, i would not take everything he says for face value.

Pretty sure he said 25/26 of the last televised cash games, so should be pretty easy to double check.

Hard to say how much money he has. Even if his ROI isn't great, he probably hasn't had to pay for a tournament in 15 years. Hes always got multiple sponsorships going and he sells pieces afaik. I'd guess hes one of the richer TV pros though. Hed have to be dumping millions and millions into cash games to be brokeish.

Loved the way Phil was dreaming up all these fantastical scenarios of how he'd eventually beat Dwan in a pot, while Dwan just smiled and laughed along with it while casually winning 3/400k.
Love watching Phil.. His delusion is hilarious
