Phil especially is laughably bad in fundamentals. DN isn't very good either. Sure they have some instincts and they do have a lot of experience but I am just not impressed by watching them play.

I'm sure their TV exposure landed them some pretty good cash games against whales so no doubt they make a good living, but purely from a poker perspective they aren't that impressive.

They're both washed up donkament specialists. 10-15 years ago Daniel had a huge edge and Phil probably had a nice edge too. Daniel likely still has a nice edge in larger field $1k-$3k buyin events. Phil might not have an edge anywhere.

i was gonna buy a piece of daniel the year he took second in the one drop and had even set it up to meet him at the cage to give him $10k and backed out worst beat of my life tbh

If you’re talking about in their prime, I’d go with PH. If you mean currently, I’d go with DN since he seems to at least make a minimal effort to adapt as the game changes.

How would that adaptation to how other players play create an advantage against PH HU, if PH still plays in a "pre-change" style ?

What's entertaining about it? The whole thing with those 2 is that they are charismatic and can draw a crowd; when you take away from them the ability to even see supposed fans, they have nothing. I'll play either of them HU 25/50 NL. And I'm not that good.

Set it up.

Oh, you can't because neither of them will acknowledge this at all.

EDIT:

If I played either of them, they'd be like round 7th or 8th in terms of best I've ever played HU.

Sure, they each may have created multi-million dollar fortunes through poker, but everyone knows that neither one of them can beat NL200 and that anyone who breaks even playing $50 Zoom is better at poker (and life) than they are.

Thats because they are live specialists, why would they be playing NL200 zoom lol, its too small for them to be motivated. They have been 1 tabling and winning bracelets since before the internet existed.

Whether or not you can beat low stakes online cash games is not a good measuring stick of how good you are at poker

What im saying is they don't specialise in low stakes NLHE online cash games, so you can't use this as a means to measure how good they are in poker or not.
