Heads up between Nik Airball and Solve For Why Matt Berkey & others (NA HU containment thread) - Page 7 - Poker News

I just can't stand HairBall or Polk. It saddens me to see that Polk is gonna be the only real winner from this thing. With all the animosity between berk and nik, I just don't see how either one of them will put them in a position to lose/bluff a huge pot to the other...

Obv, this is a mean reason Berky is against streaming it, he has so much to lose if he loses this match. His only options are Win BIG, Win Small, Lose very small....

I'd bet his career trajectory would increase substantially if he did. He would have access to better games in TX and gain insights into poker room operations. Texas poker is ripe for professional consolidation. Many rooms have no value proposition and a run by very sketchy people. Texans want a safe and above-board place to play and unfortunately, this is not as available as it should be.

Doug has now withdrawn the at The Lodge offer on the basis that it hasn't been accepted, and he added that now that it isn't at The Lodge, that he will be helping Nik.

This is quite a major development. Nik has a lot of flair and I think HU is something he's made for, but without question some extra technical knowhow and advice,
as well as post session analysis from one of the best HUNL players in the world, Doug Polk, is going to help Nik a lot.

I suspect this entire heads up thing was Doug "COINFLEX" Polk's project from the very start. He just used Airball (with consent) to take a hit on Berkey, his poker coaching site competitor.
