Why unwritten? Do you mean unwritten as in clear, unambiguous rules that are literally not written down but just exist in the minds of poker room staff? Or do you mean to keep running it twice as a gentleman's agreement with potential for ambiguity?

The rule that makes sense to me is that you can run it twice in games with a time rake and when two players are all-in, the dealer asks once or twice, and if the players don't agree to run it twice within five seconds, you run it once. I believe that a well-run poker room needs to establish that the inmates don't run the asylum and that the rulebook is not more what you'd call "guidelines" than actual rules.

And why only in time take games? In South Florida, games with a max $5 rake per hand just drop an additional $1 when players want to run it twice.

i was told in LA it's b/c of the state regulations on the bad beat

also, regular games pay the rake and bonus every hand. time-raked just pay rake, so they don't contribute to the bonus. here they're not eligible for any promos. rooms dgaf if those games run it twice b/c the BBJP isn't an option regardless

one of my local casinos now allows 2-5NL to run it twice but i believe it took approval from the state regulatory board

I'm glad this hand was recorded so people can see why <b>they really struggle to fill games.</b>

When I was new to LA cardrooms, my initial assumption was that the Bike was one of the "busier" places based on size and the new hotel presence. I soon found myself asking everyone, "why is the Bike always dead in comparison to the Commerce 10-15 minutes away, or compared to just about any major cardroom in the area?" (Everyone just kinda shrugged, with about half the answers being "it's reggy")

This is a bit excessive. Double rake is enough, rake each board separately. Of course running it 3 or 4 times (or more) would generate even more rake. The benefits of increased rake are practically unlimited.

The Bike seems to have a pretty solid history and reputation for pulling shady **** like this, both poker tables and table games.

All the years of losing at poker and baccarat seems to have made Harry a bit too desperate to win this pot. I guess he really needed it.

Let's ban Harry (since he's close to tapped anyways) and the Bike from the gambling industry.

A couple days ago I was watching the LATB stream and Harry was being very rude and disrespectful to the service staff. He swore at her in Armenian saying "Jaj dom beranit", which translates to "I cum in your mouth". It's a common insult in Armenian. (Mods please dont delete my post or ban me, that's what he said on stream!). I voted no on angleshot and I didn't have a problem with Harry changing his mind about running it twice. But him being rude, disrespectful, and swearing at the food service girl in a different language makes it clear. HARRY IS A SCUMBAG!
