Now LATB has Jacky, the guy that did a huge angle on mrs. Galfond. Seems like they like these kinds of characters..

I haven't heard about that incident. What happened?

I hear that this stuff is just rampant in the LA poker scene. Maybe the reasoning is that trying to craft lineups of decent people would too much of a headache.

LOL you need another avatar. I just see you as a crackhead version of Dwan.

edit: Is that supposed to be him hiding in a cave? LOL the commentators on the Triton stream just mentioned that while he was playing a tourney and then busting. That just makes your avatar that much better lol.

I remember Jacky did a pretty blatant pump-fake on stream, not sure if it was against her though. Likely something along those lines.

It was on a PAD episode. Farah had a boat on the river, and Jacky was considering making a ~20k call with like middle pair or something. He grabs his chips and basically forward motions and Farah reacts by almost flipping her hand over, Jacky sees it, and pulls back the bet. He was allowed to fold.

Apparently he apologized profusely after and Farah posted on Twitter saying they're all good, but Phil was super pissed and said something along the lines of "My wife is more forgiving than I am"

FYP, so Srsly knows why he's never seen it.

This is correct. On a board of 8Q282, Farah had 86 while Jacky had 55. As noted, Farah bet $20K into the river (roughly pot) after having check-called the turn. Jacky tanked for three minutes, moved to put out his call, but then pulled it back before the chips touched the felt in front of him.

If anyone is curious, it's Day 1 of the "Games Of Our Lives" episode (Dec. 12, 2017). The actual pump fake happens around the 1:58:45 mark

If there is no rule on forward motion then he is allowed to change his mind. Nothing wrong here. If there is a forward motion rule than it's a bad decision by the floor.

The fact there isn't a rule against it doesn't mean he did "nothing wrong". That's really bad logic.

He was in the process of making a call, not complete, can change his mind, Ms Galfond gave him more information that caused him to change his mind. I don't think he did anything wrong. What do you think he did wrong? I don't see a problem with what he did, the call is not complete. Ms Galfond made a mistake imo by not waiting for action to complete.

If my opponent goes all-in out of turn before I could bluff at a pot, should I be forced to still put in bluffing chips?

It's about intent. If he was reaching to put out a call and she reached for her hand prior to him releasing the chips, that's on her.

However, if you watch the video (which I went and found on pokergo just now to make sure), he very clearly put his hand out then held it there for a second without releasing it.

If the intent is to get a reaction from her, then he very clearly did something wrong. He didn't "change his mind", he angle shot.

Very good point, intent certainly matters and if it is as you say and was doing it in order to get a reaction then yeah it's an angle and shady af. Sounds like you see it for what it is.

You couldn’t be more wrong. If this is the case then you should be doing this every single time and you’ll be printing money.

Never react to anything unless the dealer confirms an action, how simple is that? The onus is always on the player, if someone tries to exploit you by trying to illicit a reaction out of you from doing anything, dont react, ever.

Who knows whether or not he was deliberately trying to angle or just changed his mind and didn't think of the consequences and ethics of the situation.

Either way, there was an agreement between the players and you can't singlehandedly break that agreement when the cards are being dealt.
The dealer should have stopped dealing and given them a chance to discuss further changes, but since he didn't, the original agreement to run it twice should stand.

If it is considered a gentleman's agreement, then you can break it unilaterally, although you run the risk of no longer being considered a gentleman.

Yes it is unwise to break a "gentlemans agreement" on a live/taped broadcast targeted to folks you will be possibly playing with in the future.

I missed LatB last night but my friend sent me an email about the final hand and I figured that since there was a thread about Harry and his BS, people would be talking about this one too.

I did not see any mention of this hand, so forgive me if there is a thread and it is being discussed.

Anyway, here is the email from my friend Gavrilo:

"Wow last hand of the night was drama Holy (D)uck and really shi**y

Armenian mike kept shipping his whole stack in last hour and winning, so Ryan Feldman basically had the nuts and checks over to like and he ships it and Ryan calls and then mike tries to take his bet back saying he was joking, floor rules it's a bet and basically says it's up to Ryan if he wants it to stand which is ****ty putting that on him since he's producer of this show and has relationship of him, this goes back and forth and Garrett basically told mike that he has to give up that money, Mike gave it up and left.. Mike shady (D)uck hated his play always but he was fine but this was awful and shi$$y thing to do

- Language cleaned up for 2p2 :P

I was going to bump this one last night, but I wasn't sure...

The gif doesn't even do it justice. It was insane.

The way that Mike repeatedly asked Ryan if he wanted the money, AFTER the floor already made a ruling, was so scummy. His insinuation was very blatant.

Ryan should have manned up though. It was clear that the money should be his. Obviously there's a conflict created with him being the producer, but after he allowed the dealer and floor to work it out, don't tell Mike, "I don't know" when being asked if you want the money, only for Garrett to have to speak up.

I've never been a fan of the fast and loose with the rules style of LA poker. This is what happens.
