Dang my hat's off to Hachem! Way to go. Cool guy. Now if he'd only beat the crap out of Raptor he'd be even cooler.

Okay

A number of times in the WSOP when he loses any hand he gets this really whiny attitude and just generally comes off as an *******. His whole demeanor when anythin goes wrong is just comical, especially since he won $7.5 million in the biggest tournament in the world. That's why you see a number of people saying they're not surprised that he did this, including me.

My favorite was when he made a remark along the lines of " Can't win a coin flip, story of my freakin life" the year after he won $7.5 mil.

lol

Oh come on, that was when he was heads up against Dutch Boyd and Dutch won like 3 straight all-in coinflips.

don't forget the "one time" when he got it in queens vs AQ at the wpt FT (after he won the main event, but i guess that wasn't his one time, lolz) and then slowrolling aces with 2 guys all in in the ME the year after he won, "ive got the rockets bay-beee, and then flips 'em up"

NO ONE IN THE WORLD COULD LAY THIS HAND DOWN, HONEY

I've played with him a couple of times and he always seems to be in a sour mood.

I've met him, he's a super nice guy, but sometimes can act like a dick at the tables. But that's true for most of us, no?

Totally true for me. Pretty nice guy overall, really try to avoid trouble but at the tables, all nerves are raw and exposed.

Fistfights in the last 5 years: 2
Percentage that were poker related: 100%.

Hachem's an admitted tiltmonkey. It's the Lebanese blood in him I believe he's attributed it to.

Excerpt from a Pokerlistings artictle about the 2005 WSOP ME FT:

"He struggled with a short stack for most of the final table until he caught a lucky break against Aaron Kanter. Hachem limped-in on the button and so did 'Tex' Barch in the small blind. Kanter, in the big blind, raised to $1 million and Hachem then moved all-in with the Q-7. Kanter called with the 9-9.

At this time, Kanter had Hachem covered and had he lost this hand he would have been out in fourth place.

But this was Joseph's night. The flop came Q-2-8, giving Joseph a pair of queens. The turn was the A, and the river was the 2. After this double up there was no stopping Joseph Hachem."

Can't win a coin flip eh?

he's like Hellmuth, he expects the best hand to win ALL the time and takes it personally when it doesn't

This is almost word for word what I was going to say.

I was in Calgary for the Canadian HU Championship doing the tv commentary with Bart last month and he basically went nuts when some random dude ran hot for a few hands. Telling the guy that because he doesn't understand poker that he cant possibly understand how lucky he's getting. Other guy couldn't have been nicer either. Just took it all for like 30 mins. JH also giving it to the dealer of the match. Bart and I were basically speechless watching it. Consensus was among the other pros was that it was pretty standard.

i fail to see how this is a douche move, isn't the table entitled to know joe's hand if they so wish? seems additionally standard for tilting the guy some more

When it was discovered he was underage, Woody Deck was unceremoniously thrown out of the Bellagio in Las Vegas. Leaving the USA at 18 with only $1900 in his pocket and no return ticket, he went to Europe. In his first two weeks in London, Woody won £40,000 in cash games and he has never looked back.

Born in Nashville, Tennessee in 1983, and a former student at the University of Las Vegas, Woody now resides in Lithuania where he has made his mark as the all-time cash winner of Lithuania
He's the all time cash winner of Lithuania, give him the the respect he deserves. Wanker.

People somehow seem to skipp the part that made Hachem snap.

So you make a bad bluff, you lose a huge pot because of it, you are disguisted by your own bad play and you decide to take a walk to calm down.
Then some silly bored kid asks to see your hand, you tell him calmly that you don`t need to show him any hands since the wining hand was shown (standard) and then as you walk away the punk accuses you of angle shooting and calls you an azzhole?

Ummmm I`m pretty sure that if Ghandi was alive he would snap in this spot.
Ghandi and Mother Teresa too..and few more.
