Bizarre, but not unfathomable with the amount of video-taped poker these days. Bound to happen sooner or later by chance

I'd be cashing out and finding another game.

So, the guy who "correctly called" the board still lost and busted ? Too bad his clairvoyance cam too late to do him any good.

According to the comment below the video this is a one in a million chance. Would probably avoid playing with that guy in future.

This makes it feel rigged in some way, who the f calls out the cards so they would lose. Don’t think I’ve ever seen this.

A sh*treg calling out how he's going to lose an all in with pocket jacks?
Never heard of such a thing

no the guy with jacks won the hand. he called T98 on the flop and then the exact rank and suit of the turn and river. so that is 1 in 2000 for the turn and river. not sure of the odds of calling the flop I guess something like 12/48 * 11 / 47 * 10 / 46

The hand was standard play from both, and the guy randomly nailed calling the cards. This isn’t sorcery, just random dude that hit.

What is surprising is the failed comprehension of people saying the guy calling the cards lost. Were you actually watching?

Odds of first flop card being one of (10, 9, 8)
12/48
Given that happens, odds of second flop card being one of the two remaining
8/47
Odds of third flop card completing the sequence:
4/46

So (12/48)*(8/47)*(4/46) or 0.370027752% or roughly
1 in 270

Total odds roughly 1 in 270*45*44 or 1 in 534,600.

In other words, roughly the chance of winning a hand with pocket jacks.

Some people call AK Anna Kournikova. Because it looks good, but never wins anything.

^ He had the right idea but forgot to take away the 2 extra cards that we already know are accounted for (AJ).

There are 4 cards already accounted for (JsJh, AdJc), hence the calculations are for a deck of 48.

Really wish streams would display the flop graphics in the exact card order on the table.

I think I see what the discrepancy is. The calculation in this thread is for permutations of 8 9 T flops. The calculation in that blog is for 8 9 T combinations.

No I think Angus has it. This guy solved for 89T rainbow for some reason, but the dude called out 89T. Presumably to give his jacks a bit of a sweat to chop the AJ. Just to make things interesting.

Beautiful. Thanks for posting! Always nice to get a reminder of how extremely unlikely events do in fact happen right in front of us from time to time.

Maybe I SHOULD go buy a lotto ticket today...
