Perhaps it was cheating but was he actually in a hand or was he just looking up a previously played spot while not in a hand?

I'm assuming this was brought up cause it was mid-hand. But if he was just checking a spot while not in a hand, totally fine. Although probably not a good idea to openly study ranges at the table.

The solver will win. Solvers that use a neural net still use the same algorithm that traditional solvers use, but they only play until the end of the round. They use a neural net to estimate the payoffs for each player at that point. It is strictly less accurate than solving to the end of the game.

Neural nets for poker give me trust issues. Neural nets are the equivalent of intuition in humans, they give an approximate answer by inferring from past experiences, how could this possibly be good if you want to know the exact EV of a nodelocked line ?

I wish deepsolver would organise a HU between traditional solver and their neural net based solver so we can see how many bb/100 we're losing for the cost fo instant calculation. Or maybe they did and realise making the answer public isnt in their interest

Was it ever revealed what was under the hood of the Kanu solver? NN or something else?
